Ninjar Question - OKote vs Dusk Gloves for TPing

Think it depends on if they want to deal with the evasion loss or not, though Bandomusha is definitely better for WSing, at least.

If you're cannoning I'd say go with Dusk. In traditional XP parties, the extra attack from a kote would probably help much more with hate management.

However...if you happen to have good accuracy gear, you may want to consider Hanzo Tekko and seeing if you can manage attack food instead. Though this generally isn't something you can pull off, it's always worth a shot and can give rather good results at times.
Personally, on my NIN, I'd prefer dusk for TP'ing. I also prefer it on my BLU. On my BLU I have 95% accuracy on imps either way, so I prefer eating attack food. Its better having an accuracy/haste set up and eat attack food. I prefer attacking fast and hit for 75 per hit then attack a bit slower, hit for less and have 95% accuracy still. Although I guess it depends, I have around 500 attack on my BLU with attack food and accuracy/haste gear. To each his own, when you chose gear you need to consider what other pieces you have. You have to find what works for you.

Either way, personally I'd prefer dusk gloves over o. kote on my NIN, as it helps with utsu recast time and damage.

well, in a previous post, meeze said who cares about -evasion, so, didnt even bring that up in my post since i was responding to what he said ;)

yes, i dont particularly like -evasion, but at times dont really care. i usually dusk gloves anyways.

actually, even better than hanzo tekko, noritsune kote ;) i used these with meat setups quite a few times, and was a bit impressed when stacked with some other acc gear. (acc+10 instead of acc+6, although, probably a bit more expensive)

how do you like them? i contemplated getting that upgrade, but, now they opened up pallas/alky... idk ;( the +dex is nice though, guess you get that extra acc up instead of acc down from the gigas.

i personally have had better results using tekko +1 when compared to Koga Tekko at night. Koga tekko is like 12 str or something? i dont remember exactly.

I had all three gloves at one point (dusk, tekko +1, and koga tekko), and i basically only use koga tekko for TP gain at night, dusk during the day and have one WS setup that includes tekko +1.

I sold my okote after i got tekko +1.

I personally forgot about Noritsune Kote entirely. Yeh, it is somewhat better, but you're paying 2.7m for another 4acc sans the 6 evasion. Seems to me like it wouldn't exactly be one of the best things to prioritize since the cost vs benefit isn't all that great.

I enjoy Dusk myself, I just personally think that Kote may be better for damage vs traditional (VT-IT) mobs due to their defense being relative higher than cannon mobs, not to mention the semi-slower pace of traditional XP parties causes slightly less stress on keeping Utsusemi up. This is just my outlook though - I still agree with you completely.

they are both 3 jobs, just bando's don't work in level capped areas. 3% HP is pretty nice too... 13 def and 2 attack don't hurt either.

but who really deals with level capped areas that much anymore? once you have sea, i very rarely see level capped areas, unless you're going after soboro or swift belt or something..

so i really dont see how you're going to say o.kote > bando .. lol

as far as OP, i'd say tp in dusk, then macro in something else for WS.

If you're macroing in and out, HP, eva and def is useless since you won't be TPing in it at all.

It's pretty safe to say the majority of the server still deals in capped areas, be it CoP (which most haven't finished), BCs, Ballista, or the events you mentioned.

I don't know, but the extra space and months saved getting Xol to drop that stupid thing > 2 att.

I got better results with af+1 then O.kotes. You'll see the difference in dmg after getting them. I sold O.kotes after seeing that my jins were higher with nin. tekko+1.

Mee Deggi is soloable while Xolotl is not.

He's a pretty ridiculously easy trio though, and a possible albeit challenging duo.
On top of that, you'll spend less time camping Xolotl for a much better chance of claim, so it's not hard to get people to come help.

I have Bandos, but I had to buy O. kote, lol.

Mee Deggi isn't terribly difficult to claim. Even before they put R/EX Kote on him, the last batch of gil seller bans flushed out them all for a good while. I spent some time over there after the last bannings and only saw legitimate players camping. Atleast, Legitimate-looking. People actually running around instead of warping, for example.

Last time I tried to camp the new kotes there were 15 CCers... /sigh

and that hp+3% is only 60hp+ on a 2000hp garka... not likely gonna help, but ive had times where such HP+s do...

Meh all this talk about 1 piece going to make or break your DoT.. it's all about your setup.

With a haste setup Dusk gloves are going to help you TP faster and get off more WS's.

With an attack setup O.kote/Bando's are going to help you improve your DoT more then a lousy 3% haste.

Well, just wait a bit. They're likely there to get the R/EX version so they can sell the normal one off.

I was bored last night and didn't have enough time to exp warrior, so I went to check out the castle.

Seems like rmt are still camping those two NMs. For whatever reason, I don't know...Maybe slangin' a chance to cast lots, who knows. It's obvious they're rmt because they use the same ol'tactic, flee and it pops thereafter.

Blade Jin is so random from time to time, making me rethink alot. Sometime AF+1 kote do so much but sometime O. Kote do as much or more. Jin is 30%STR and 30%DEX but what about other 40%? Accuracy + Attack?

When I focus on all STR no DEX the WS ain't that great, did shitty damage, no crit in there. Max I did was 1,460 damage on those Jnun and like 800-1000 on Spongilla Fly but sometime it can be like 100 damage LOL.

Dusk Glove is good for TP if you missing some of the haste gears like Byakko Haidate, Swiftbelt or Turban. I think if you got those, O Kote is a better choice since mages usuallly haste + songs. Speed + attack also for greater dot, too fast and no damage still don't do as much. Also the - evasion on O kote help ya skill up parrying hehe. Mine is at 268 atm because of those -evasion + cannon parties.

Bah, ill just make a parse in a party. 1 Hr with dusk, 1 Hr with bandos.
