Ninjutsu vs Gods Staves/gear question

How is that possible to have such a difference in landing percentages? I would have assumed skill was the only main form of accuracy on an enfeeble, spell or otherwise and RDM have access to quite a bit more enfeebling skill than a NIN does ninjutsu. Would that perhaps mean ninjutsu is naturally more accurate?

Different mobs have resistences to different spells, and to different types of spells. Gods don't resist all spells, or nuking would be pretty ineffective as well. In saying that, I'd be surprised if Ninjitsu landed 50% on any Gods, or it would be used a lot more often, particularly on mobs like Byakko where Slow and Paralyse would help the tanks a lot.

Even if they do land, it's extremely unlikely paralyze will proc often. The difference in level and probably a lack of MND on our part would make the proc rate very weak. The real desire would most likely to land slow and blind which give some effect versus that of paralyze.

Landing and Procing are completely different. If you do land happen Slow on a God, it will be for about the same effect as Fafnir (I'd guess about the same MND), even though Slow is easy to land on Fafnir, and difficult on the God. Paralyze is a strange animal, which may not be simply MND v MND, but as far as enfeebles go in general, Difficult to land =/= Low Proc rate.

on imps, in my mid 60s to 70s I would have trouble landing simple debuffs on them while ninjas would just land their slow/poison/etc. without any trouble at all, I ask ninjas if they have a problem with resist rates and usually they only have one or two resists but it lands pretty well...

using mostly nq staves and spider torque and missing constantly

bit off-topic I know but I would think ninjutsu is a bit more accurate because I can land silence on imps as well as other debuffs with a 50~70% rate atm

That seems different from my own personal experience, I always have trouble landing debuffs on NIN with AF helm and ninjutsu earring (don't have torque) and I use them far more than I should.

in mire?

their level range seems to be pretty wide, some imps are stronger than others and given their magic inclinations, silence doesn't always stick until it's dead; the ninjas were using regular dd/eva/enm sets, I keep filters up so i don't see when a debuff by another person wears off just it casting and if it lands.

I just thought imps was a good parallel and example to the main topic (disregarding mob strength of course)

I would not use Imps to judge your basis off of, they are dark based (highly resistant to blind or sleep) and very magic resistant as well since they are mage types. On mamool ja and colibri, I tend to get a hit or miss equally so it's not very reliable, but worthwhile if I need the extra enfeeble for whatever reason. In all, I get less resistance on WHM using slow and blind in my opinion (no parse to prove it so it's a judgement call) which has much lower skill.
