Yeah, you're hilarious.Isomiau said:with the ensuing lawsuit, they can probably afford a ps3 now...
ya those are internet people for you. Then they just throw up a front to try and make themselves look heartless because they think its the cool thing to do!Chasym said:everyone attackin the woman for doing it, she wanted something for her kids to put a smile on their face. when you have kids or ask your own parents, as long as your not rich spoiled brats that get everything anyway, youll understand the feeling and love that goes into wanting to do something like that in what seemed to be a harmless competition.
I myself didnt know as well as half the people i know that you could just die from that, it sounds innocent enough.
but then again, on the internet everyone knows everything and whats best for other people, and if you die from it your just "dumb" and "deserve" it. so lets slap them with some title we made up to make us look cool and point at people in tragic situations!
Way to go guys!

point is, not everyone knows that. Not everyone knows everything, when i come acrossed information i usually remember it but this is something ive never come acrossed. And im not at the age i feel the need to scan the newspapers yet, i only read the obituaries and the classifieds.Shady said:If you didn't know, as the radio station producers who allowed teh contest to go on, you're uninformed and should pick up a newspaper. Years ago when ecstacy was the big thing tons of New York clubs got closed because of the deaths involved around the drug- not stemming from the drugs effects but on the water consumption because people would dance and dance and hydrate to the point of death. She should've stopped when she got a stomach ache but didn't. The contest also should've been supervised by doctors. But think about what happened from a practical standpoint, not from an "internet know-it-all" point of view. Simple chemistry, what does water do when you add it to something? It dilutes!!! A little more scientific explanation shouldn't really be necessary but ok- "If water enters the body more quickly than it can be removed, body fluids are diluted and a potentially dangerous shift in electrolyte balance occurs." This is most definitely going to go on the darwinawards.com website >.>

just because it was in your newspaper, doesnt mean it was in mine. The most i know about water is that if you drink alot of it you can get drunk, thats about all i knew that was random trivia about water till now.
i dont call around slammin someone who did something to make their kids day in what looked like a harmless competition.
sure it should have been supervised by doctors ill agree there.
but calling the woman dumb and using your "im sooo cool "Wiitarded"" label on the woman is just ignorant in itself.
like i said, when some of you have kids you'll understand. or even ask your parents what they would have done had the information of what could happen not been apparent. That is if your parents care about you at all.
but the "lol i knew that could happen, that person deserved it and is dumb, lets label them wiitarded and laugh at their families plight" attitude is just ignorant and childish. But then again, what else can i expect from most of the egotistical children here?
