For after the press conference to let people post what they feel.

Twilight Princess as a launch title for the Wii is a huge selling item. After watching through the guy playing the game and hearing about the even more features in the controller, I'm even more inclined to believe that sony stole the motion sensor from the Wii. Nintendo's controller still has the rumble, while sony's doesn't, and the Wii also includes a speaker in the controller to add a new depth to sound.
 
Yeah, Twilight Princess for Wii looks secksy...
 
The Wii will be automatically updating even while it's in stand-by/off mode, and without draining much electricity or bandwidth. That's a nice feature.
 
Wii is a terrible name. lol that is all.

I think Nintendo sold me a console. Just keep the price point low and I'll buy a bunch of games at launch.
 
Did they mention a price? I'm hopeing it's atleast in the 250- 300 dollar range.

No, but they did say "Cheaper than the others" which probably means $200-250, but if they're going for this whole mass-market appeal thing $150 or less wouldn't suprise me.
 
Anyone know where I can find a video for the begining of the press conference? More specifically the parts with Link in them? I slept in ;_;

Man that would be nice. I bet the games will be cheap too. Great games and a cheap system, I'm buying a Wii :)
 
I'd buy a Wii for a new Smash Bros. game alone. That is some highly addictive fun right there.
 
Smash Bros. pwns, Legend of Zelda pwns. Wii will pwn. I'm not going to have enough Hi-Def ports on my TV >< what the hell am I gonna do?!!?!

And cubswoo (and anyone else who is interested) They stated in some article somewhere that they are pushing to make it $200 maximum and lower if possible. You can find the link in the PS3 thread i believe.
 
They also mentioned not only downloadable NES, SNES, and N64 games but old Sega games as well. I will own a Wii for that feature alone.

The reason I bought a Gamecube, and then proceeded to find even more things to love about my GC ^^
 
I hope they have some licensed games like the old NES Blaster Master and Bionic Commando. Give me the Sega Genesis version of Columns and I'll bliss out for hours.

I'm pretty sure Wii doesn't support Hi-Def. I could be mistaken but i am pretty sure that is one of the main reasons its so cheap.
 
Rinoah is right. The console will be compatible with both monitors and TVs though. =)

Off subject (if there is a large response i may make a thread about it).

Does anyone know if anything has been confirmed about SSB...W? I looked a few months ago and all i could find were a few idiots with "inside info" (the great fox as a character ftw!) and idle speculation on new characters (10+ types of mario lmao), but nothing from the producers other than "Wow...was sitting at my desk having some coffee and someone said "Make another SSB for the Revolution!" so of course i said yes...".

Anyone find anything offical? Or hell just some amusing "predictions"?
