If you have a DS, are you buying Nintendogs?

I've been a little disappointed with the DS game library since launch, but we're finally getting into the stuff I really want. This week I picked up Advance Wars DS (which is a pretty good update to the series) and a copy of Nintendogs.

I'm seriously loving this puppy sim. I've started out with a Golden Retriever named Chloe. So far I've taught her to sit, shake hands, and jump. Issuing voice commands while standing in a mall parking lot gets you a few odd looks, but it's still fun.

This game is an ideal portable, great for short sessions here and there. It looks like there are a ton of items to find (and lots of other breeds to unlock).

Anyone else playing this game? Tell us about your dog.

Saw it and thought "I wish I had a DS and this game" ^^;

I'm planning on getting it sometime soon. I looked at the site and I'm not too sure what version to get though. I'll let you know about my dog after I get the game.

I saw this at work today, one of my colleges had one. Dosnt look like anything special, just petting puppies reminds me of the "Tamagachi".

I'm not trying to incite a flame or anything, but you could get a real puppy for free :P

I might pick it up, along with Advance Wars: Dual Strike. <3 Advance Wars, no other better portable Strategy Game franchise available.

Dual Strike should hold me over until Battalion Wars comes out in the middle of September.

For all of you who remembered there was going to be an GameCube Advance Wars game(Advance Wars: Under Fire,) thats it what Battalion Wars was supposed to be.

if i had the money to buy a DS i would do it because of this game. How freaking pointless is it. I love pointless games.

I need to expand my DS collection (all I have is super mario 64, and I've already beaten it), I'll look into this.

If you like Tetris-style puzzle games, get Meteos. I cannot stress that enough.

By the way, don't get Polarium if you like puzzle games. It's just not really that challenging.

If Warioware on the DS is as good as Warioware on the Gamecube, then it's definitely something to look into ^^

"Tease the cat!"

GET THE MONEY!

But yeah, I bought it too....I have a German Shepard named Chase...he's a bit "Slow" but I've taught him Play dead, and lay down........he had sit and shake but I think he's forgotten them >.<

I picked up Daschund and Friends today. I have a Goldren Retriever named Miles (after Tails from Sonic). I trained him to do a few tricks, but he seems to not be responding to some of my commands, including his name, which is starting to piss me off. :x

I think I'll have to re-teach him some of the tricks. :?

After playing the game for a few days and teaching Chloe to bring back the frisbee, I entered her in a competition and won enough money to buy a Beagle. I named him Boomer.

Seeing the difference in personality between the two dogs really makes it clear how much work went into this game. When I take Chloe for a walk, she's very much a Point A to Point B kind of dog. Boomer stops, scratches constantly, yawns, and takes his time.

Once again, I /bow to the people at Nintendo.

I plan to pick up this game sometime after I move next month. Everyone up at work loves it and the time I've gotten to play it has been a blast. I also want to import a copy of "Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan", but that's another story for another day. I <3 my DS though and I have lots of fun games for it.

I got a weiner named blitz. I tryed to make him klaus but the damn DS doesnt pick itout well. Must have title 4 your DS 8)
