Because my computer is about 5 years old and my dad never wants to upgrade it, I always wanted FFXI for the PS2. This week, this wish became a reality when I saw a copy at Blockbuster. After the 3 hour installation, I started playing. However, I've begun a side search for Chains of Promathia, and I can't find it. I know you can buy it online, but my parents don't like to buy stuff online(even from well known sites like Amazon) unless it's a last resort. But I can't find Chains AN-E-WHERE. Can someone help me out, or point me in the right direction, or consule me, or anything?

You might have to order it online. It's just not worth stocking these days.

can try your local Game Stops, usually they will have atleast a copy in, and if not you usually can ask them to order a copy for you.

Someone told me you can buy the whole FFXI/Zilart/CoP set as a package for $40 at the local game store. Might be worth it and you have a second acount if you ever needed it. Plus a month free subscription once you activate it.

Yeah, but the bundle is only for PC. It's $39, btw, and comes on a single DVD. It's pretty nice not having to swap discs for the install.

When I worked there a few months back, we never ordered games for people. There was not even policy in place that we could follow to perform such an action. It would take as long as ordering it yourself online anyways.

GameStops stock would also be kinda low since I dont think they buy that back and a majority of their stock is used. They were never that bright when it came to understanding differences in game demand and neccesity. :?

You may even want to hold off on that. Ive been casually playing for roughly a year and i never got and havent needed to. :?

Most of the party invites I got (and this was before the Ranger Nerf so that was alot) were all headed to Bibiki Bay, in the 60's.

Well, here's a little update. I was talking to one of the people who play FFXI at blockbuster(he's on Diaoblos, or however you spell it...) and he told me to check around at Best Buy. So, I'm gonna check tommorow, or...today...and see if they have any.

actually chances of best buy having it are slim, none of them here have it anyway. just pc version.
My friend went through this recently, and i promised him Media play would have it
And they did. Infact they still carry the HDD package there too.
So check media play, they always seem to have it.

CoP is discontinued in most stores...all actually. The only way a store would have one is if they have a copy and just left it lying around for all this time, which I doubt it would stick around thew store for as long as it has been. I looked everywhere for CoP in my city, and could not find it. I eventually broke down and got my dads credit card and bought it online. If you want to save yourself som3e frustration, buy it from Amazon online. If your parents wont buy it for you...save the money and get a friend to do it...assuming you have a friend who has a credit card...or if you know a friend who has cool parents and would buy you one

Oh also, there were some stores with CoP I heard, but all those stores seemed to have sold their copies about 5 months ago(friends in game who worked at gaming stores told me this).
