No More Heroes: Now Playing

Well, actually... Im not playing it, YET. But tomorrow afternoon, you can count on it.

No More Heroes released for sales, today, and Im kind of pumped to get my hands on it. Tomorrow after class Im going to stop by Gamestop to pick up a copy.

Did anyone get this today, or planning on grabbing it?

I'll probably rent it first. There's been a lot of hype but I haven't seen much that would interest me in the gameplay videos.

I'm definitly getting it tomorrow. I've been really excited about this game for awhile, i really hope it doesn't let me down.

I was unfamiliar with the game (other than hearing the title) until yesterday, when I checked out the GameTrailer's review. I'll probably pick it up; my Wii library is pretty light, and this looks like it could be fun.

I've been playing it for the past 45 minutes (got it when my store opened). Its wonderful, the controls were a bit sketchy for me at first, but now that i'm used to it all the moves flow for me. I'm loving it.

Is it the same voice actors as the teaser trailer they released ages ago?

I personally felt the voice acting was dire and didn't match the characters at all!

yeah, same with me. At first I was like "Ugh" but after playing it a bit more, I dont mind the controls at all.

The voice acting includes the same people, and it does kind of suck. Its not horrible, but it could definitely be better.

The animations are pretty humerous though, like when you gotta charge your katana, or when youre carrying coconuts, lol.

So far from what Ive been noticing, it definitely deserves the high scores its received.

Edit: The humor in this game has made me chuckle a little. The cliche anime animations are why, lol.

Just hit #6, fun fun.

Holly Summers = Best death ever so far.

I was really looking forward to fighting Letz Shake after seeing his brain tank tower thing charging up.

The Tsubaki Mk. II beam katana is completely badadss when you activate it.

Even though the damn thing costs half the entry fee for the Rank 4 fight. Between that, the new video tape, and training at Thunder Ryu, I went from about LB$300,000 to LB$50,000. Rank 4 is LB$400,000. Back up to LB$300,000, but it takes so long when you need to get that much.

Most of the assassination odd jobs get you LB100,000+ if you do a good enough job on it. I've never really had trouble getting money, but i'll fully agree that upgrading yourself adds up really quickly.

Well, it still takes a while, You figure 2:00-2:30 per job/free mission, then you have to go back and forth between the K-Entertainment, the mission location, the ATM, then Travis's motel room.

The time required just adds up, and big upgrading stages like when you become rank 5 just makes it worse.

The synthetic voice saying Harvey's name was just awful. Almost as awful as the fight was underwhelming. After Shinobu, it's like the challenge just stops. I've heard how people had trouble with Holly, but I plowed through her with ease.

Same. Shinobu was actually kinda hard for me. She hit me with the "10 hits automatically, even if you guard" combo twice. The first time it took away almost all of my life, and the second finished me. I plowed through Holly pretty easily too. Not as easily as the superhero guy, but she never came close to killing me.

Holly was easily the best of the bunch so far.

I liked the last dude most, forget the dudes name... But the con artist chic's husband. That was a pretty intense fight imo
