Noob first time partying blunders...

I'll just share one...realizing that warp II couldn't be cast on an alliance member unless they were in YOUR party.

*Poof* How the hell did I end up in Jeuno?? :shok:
 
I don't remember any real "noob" mistakes in my first group (which was in Dunes at level 15) plaugebreath was a shocker. I've been traumatized by Plaugebreath ever since. I remember a couple of members of the group, Prophecy and Gotenx were there names I believe. It was a long long time ago though.
 
Well I was quite noobish when I first started. I never knew the difference between aga spells and regular spells and didn't know anything about it being AEO, I just thought it when it was spells like aeroga and stonega that they were stronger spells, so I used to use those in the ptys when I first started out and ended up getting the other lizzies around our pty and killing us.

After that I learned my lesson about AEO spells and not to use them :P I started off as rdm/blm and it was while lvlling blm it happened.
 
Mis-targeted a Leech in Valkurm dunes when I was learning how to play BLM in a party o.o;....

Yeah we wiped pretty good :)

Not really a blunder in a party, but the first day or two I played my boyfriend repeatedly yelled at me for moving my character to try to 'evade' the monsters attacks >.>;;.. I kept telling him 'LOOK it helps!' whenever the monster ended up missing...
 
lol yeah getting stuck in Latheim Platue sucked. I remember falling down off one of the cliffs and getting extreamly angry thinking i was stuck there unless i died or warped. i spent a good 3hrs trying to get out with my friend in rl laughing behind me while standing on top of the cliff. EVIL GALKA
Need less to say i just gave up and died that first time....days later
Well here i am fell down again NOO 2hrs of running around determind that there is another way to get out i found the ramp ^^ so everytime i feel i had to search for "the ramp" didn't remember where it was but i knew it was there.
 
I never knew that the /check function existed until lvl 7 or so, so I would just go attack anything I saw, and when I would die I would flip out about having to walk ALL the way back to w ron and get really mad. Then sometimes I would get no exp and I figured out it was cause I had that signet thingy on! Then someone (Atef) clue'd me in on a few things including what Signet was. I also threw away countless seals and npc'd countless stacks of crystals. And when I was lvl'ing WAR I used a sword/shield combo all the way to lvl 37 >.>; and used Berserk when I was tanking thinking "well I need to do dmg to hold hate". /sigh....
 
First couple times pulling I pulled with Sneak Attack on Crabs in the Dunes.

This isn't a noob first time blunder but it just popped in my head and its funny. I might remember it a bit differently, my CRS is acting up.

Once on my THF I made a party to goto Den of Rancor (60-whatever), and I invited my buddy (anonymous) to come as NIN. He showed up all the way to the Den as NIN/THF on accident. So he went /anon and we didn't tell anyone he wasn't subbing WAR. We killed like 4 mobs without anyone knowing and he kept hate fine. We quickly realized that everyone in the party sucked so we disbanded. Haha still makes me laugh.

I refused to SC. Yeah thats right I refused to be in SCs just because I was afraid anyone would find out I didn't know how to do them I mean I had been playing WHM for like 42 levels.

PS. I know how to do them now...



No really I mean it.

Ok this just happened to me today....I was in Jeuno my friend was in sandy I wanted to Blood Port to sandy to meet him because my HP was in sandy...I switched to lvl 1 blm and went out into Rolan fields and got myself killed....I forgot I switched my HP to Qufim Island right near the tower....I died about 3 times attempting to make it back to Jeuno thank god I didn't lose and exp...
 
I was clued in to many of the common mistakes before I even started playing, but not all of them.

After I got some of the blm elemental debuff spells, I read what they did and thought "Hey, these are really useful. I should start using them"...all of them...on the same mob... The first two mobs I got really pissed when Frost would wear off at exactly the same time I got Burn up on the mob. I though SE was out to get me, lol.

This reminds me of the many times I have switched to BLM to warp to jeuno and when I exit I put hp by habit and warp to the same city I was currently in.

Then you just want to run into a wall because it creates so much extra work getting back to jeuno.
 
I remember my 1st job the MNK =D I take MNK out and 1st thing i fight was an orc cause it looked cool and died. Then I thought damn areas around town are hard...so I ended up w/ my 2nd fight fighting a tiger in Jugner Forest XD

Yah i ended up lvling monk to 10 before going to whm but gave that up at lvl 4 then went to war...LOL...

As war I went naked and voked off nins and plds and died alot at lvl 30 (still a noob) i was partying as WAR30/MNK10 >_>;; then i ended up getting war 32 and quitting

Then i found out about SMN and damn i was gimp for <Long Time> I got Garuda at Lv. 42....and wore Lord's Yukata til 50 O.o well i stopped sucking as much 50ish

But then came lvling whm for subjob..Whm job is to be healer right? not me the only thing i kept capped was club skills and Divine Magic. DD Whm <Do you need it?> Didn't think so >_>;; lol pretty much I was a noob until I started soloing and really found out how to work my job ; ; In any case. its funny now when i look back onto it
