We've all encountered noobs... Some higher levels than others...

But it's really getting ridiculous now. The new noobs (in ronfaure, gustaberg, saruta, and the dunes) dont want to take any advice, and keep acting they way they do all the way to Yuhtunga. If you try to give a noob advice, they just brush you off, like a kid in school not wanting to learn. the higher level noobs are even worse....

Just now, as I was leveling my SMN / MNK to 10, solo (yes, an MNK sub job, for all my mage soloing to 10) I randomly examine (as I usually do >_>) a player decked out in mage lookin stuff named Elleshar. He had a staff, robe, slops, clogs, etc. But he was a WAR / WHM. I told him that that isnt a very good combo at ALL, but he told me he was leveling his sub. I asked what his main was, assuming it was WAR / WHM. and thats what he told me it was. then he said "bro excuse me im trying to have a descuson whit my wife"
and later said "Im a very high level pld lv 65" after saying he was a WAR / WHM. Ew. Thats how they all are... lying, not taking any advice, just glued to the gutter that is the noob class.

I hate it.

Tee hee... a SMN/MNK telling a WAR/WHM they are a bad combo.

But ya I do agree, people that wont take advice into consideration are annoying. At least you can take comfort in the fact that they will learn eventually, or at least know that its probably not the first time they've been told something like that.

I wonder if noobs get as annoyed by random people giving them advice as other players get annoyed by people asking for gil?

-Ham

Sorry >_> thats just me.

and BTW, subbing MNK to a mage when soloing to 10/11 is not a bad idea, since you can melee more damage than any wand, club, or staff....

really great if you wanna get to 11 quick ^_^

I'm amazed at the attitude from people who don't want to learn. I've been playing about a month and have my BLM leveled to 19 and have started working on my sub-job (WHM), and I'm still learning all kinds of stuff. I mean, I thought "Stonega" was just a stronger "Stone" until the other day when someone pointed out it could hit other monsters.

When I join a party, I tell them advice is appreciated. I want to do my job well. Someone pointed me to the Allakhazam forums, and I'm finding a ton of information about how to be the best nuker I can be.

To my fellow newbies, "Learn how to learn!"

pre-party subjobs are really up to the player, as they dont effect anyone else. I subbed MNK to a few of my mage classes because more hp --> maybe i wont frickin die so often... and it worked ^^. After you go into party, that *shouldnt* be a problem so you go sub what the party wants, (another mage class for more MP).

Its one thing to be a newb, its another to say they have a lvl 6X character (lie) or just blatently say they know more than you, a veteran player. I dont want knee scraping but it would be nice for them to listen, or heven help us ASK a question.

I always help my newbs out in low lvl pt :) i think a LOT of higher players look down their noses at the younglings because they always seem so reluctant to ask. Responding to a legitamite question like "Why should i use frost?" with "OMG you n00b go learn your spellz!" is not helpful. "It lowers mob evasion, so the melees can hit it more and do their jobs better ^^" will actually TEACH the guy. Pass the knowlege forwards.

Theres a lt of real idiot n00bs who wont take a hint, or are just rude, but for every 2 asshats theres one guy who really wants to learn ^^ Treasure the good newb. /cheer for the good newb.

no

actually...
war/whm is very good LOL
IF u know how to work it.... i had a PT in Den of Racnheor
Pud was the leader of PT and invited this dude.
71/war/whm
it was actually a great PT cuz the Lizards use that nasty AOE
the war countered by healing the PT with a cureaga2 spell
6.5k an hr PT i actually got to lvl
started @ 17k

WOW...a L71 Buttersheep?

I'd think at 71 you could sub just about whatever you want and make SOME use out of it, but of course when people talk about bad combos they obviously aren't talking about high levels.

I was.....

The "   "'s stand!!
