North Korea test nukes

lawdy lawdy, ellens 40!

seriously, China and South Korea are a bit nervous I think

Hmm Maybe they shoulda gave George bush some geography lessons.
He obviously confused Iraq with korea.

One thing I dislike about this is the U.S is always trying to stop other from having nukes when we, ourselves, have plenty of them. If we are trying to be the peaceful country we have to atleast not be hypocritical and be fair.

We (The U.S.) don't have intentions to use them..

And do you honestly want an insane man with that kind of power?

Um...it's not hypocritical, Kim Jung Il is batfucking insane. The guy should not even be in control of his country let alone a nuclear weapon.

In theory nuclear buildup of arms is a great thing. While threatening billions of deaths, nuclear technology in fact saved millions of lives in the end by the fact that had we gone to war with the soviet union one of the losing countries would have inevitably used them. Mutually assured destruction stopped World War three from happening.

Because, the soviets weren't fucking lunatics. The north koreans are. North Korea having nuclear weapons and long ranged missiles is powderkeg that could result in a horrible fallout.

We should have been in there back in the 90s when we had a chance to do something about it.

During the Clinton administration, the U.S. and North Korea signed the Agreed Framework following a U.S. military buildup near the country, with the U.S. considering bombing the active Yongbyon nuclear reactor. Under this agreement, North Korea would shut down its graphite-moderated nuclear reactors and plutonium processing program in exchange for two light water reactors paid for mostly by South Korea, together with interim fuel oil shipments by the U.S. In part because of U.S. Congressional opposition, construction of the light-water reactors fell behind schedule and delivery of the fuel oil was often late. North Korea was supposed to use these for energy only but was accused by the U.S. of pursuing nuclear weapons.

The Bush administration cut off one-on-one diplomatic relations initiated by the Clinton administration and accused North Korea of violating the spirit of the Agreed Framework by developing a secret uranium program that the U.S. believed would circumvent the agreement. The U.S. reported that North Korea confirmed the allegation, though officials from the Democratic People's Republic denied this. North Korea stated it had a right to build nuclear weapons for defense unless the U.S. agreed to a non-aggression treaty. Bush later declared North Korea to be part of the "Axis of Evil" along with Iran and Iraq. In December 2002, the U.S. stopped shipment of fuel oil it was providing under the Agreed Framework. On January 10, 2003, North Korea withdrew from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

On July 4, 2006, North Korea tested four or five short range missiles, which landed in the Sea of Japan. The sixth missile, the Taepodong 2, was a long range missile but either failed or was aborted 40 seconds after launch. The seventh missile was launched the following day at 8:22 UTC. Media reports out of South Korea indicate that North Korea has three to four more missiles on launch pads and ready for firing. These missiles are believed to be of short to medium range. Many in the international community are now calling for more aggressive talks to have North Korea give up its nuclear weapons.

So what were we supposed to do in the 90's that we didn't do? Kim Jung Il wasn't even the leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea until 1993.

I believe the answer is "Not attempted to appease the country seeking nuclear weapons."

Is it fair? No. It wasn't fair when the Israelis bombed Osirak either. It may also have been the only thing that kept them from getting nuked during the first Gulf War.

How were we trying to apease them?

Remember when they test launched their long-ranged missile? It was a dud that crashed in the ocean. When they tested this nuke, it was apparently a very weak one based on seismic readings intelligence gathered. Put two and two together and the most likely scenario is that N.Korea will destroy one of its own cities by loading a crappy half-baked nuclear weapon on a missile that can't fly. We have nothing to fear until N.Korea gets some semblance of quality control on their military production. A crazy man with weapons that don't work is nothing to worry about. Besides, the US put tons of money into antimissile defense during the cold war, when defending against an enemy whose nukes did work. I'm sure we could take out any missile N.Korea managed to get working and turn their fine nation into a crater if the need arose.

Perspective:
The "dud" missile flew more than halfway to Japan.

The "anti-missile defence" is junk. Its designed against old Soviet ICBMs, which went into atmosphere before returning to the target. Modern day missiles cruise low, below long range detection radar.

The president of Iran Mahmood Ahmadinejad Believes the prophecies of Shiek religion will be full filled within his presidency (which is within 4 years).

*Modern facts*

-Iran was asked to stop enriching uranium by the U.S., and to let the russians do it for them. Iran refuses and contines their project.

-Mahmood Ahmadinejad did at one point say Isreal should be wiped off the face of the earth and also does not belive the holocost ever happened.

-U.S. is allies with Isreal.

-Iran did purchase a missile capable of carrying Nuclear warheads, and is also capable of flying all the way to New york.

-Sheik religion believe that their profit will return when the world has been bathed in human blood.

-Mahmood Ahmadinejad claims their nuke project is transparent, and they only want to peacefully generate electricity with it. Reports from UN officials regarding these matters are not sure as to what measures are being made with the uranium.

*Just a side note.... Yisrayl Hawkins made a fool of himself infront of millions claiming how Nuclear war will begin on September 12, 2006. What actually did happen on Sept. 12 2006. The new Iraq PM paid a visite to Iran, long time rivels yes, but no Saddam. The two leaders shook hands and hugged and something along the lines of brotherhood was brough up, and how Iran hopes the Americans will leave their neighbours alone soon.

Also on Sept. 12 The Pope pissed off Muslums worldwide by reciting a 14th century script which mentions how Muslum religion lives by the sword. When i say the Muslums were pissed, i mean they were totally outraged on the streets, with acts of violence on burning idols representing the Pope. Few days later a Nun doing peacework in Iran was caped dead.

And on Sept. 12, a U.S. Embassy in Syria was blown up. All these things are acts that can cause some serious beef between nations.

Mahmood's letter to bush .... Interesting read.

Best thing that could happen now is an impeachment.

If were gonna have another Korean War I rather not have Bush at the helm. We need to have someone that is well liked in the region lest China, Japan, Soviets, SOuth korea gets pulled into the fray.

Woop di do, it just gets better and better.

Inpeachment would be the worst move in the world. I'd rather have the idiot bush over someone like Cheney. That guy is straight up gangsta evil. Who know when he's going to go with that bum heart of his either. Then you have the rest of the presidential line of succession. Maybe in the off chance we can get Ted Stevens and then see how someone can truley FUCK up a nation.

That's why they test missiles, to make them better....
