Not a flame.

You did the right thing, you're never obligated to help someone, its just bonus if you do. When the guy died you were right to raise him, as it makes it clear that you had no issue helping him, but in the intrest of time, you weren't going to be able to stick around for an extra drop.

Hey, had it not been 3am EST and me about to fall out, I probably wouldn't have minded but when we said no it was all "Well F you."

Then about 3 seconds later as he stood there.. I said in party, "I have a feeling they're gonna camp on top of us." less than 2 seconds after "Well I hope you don't mind us camping on top of you."

Trippy said, "does it matter?"

So they started trying and we started taking almost every mob there was, they got 1 about every 5 minutes to our 7(i'm being nice, we were probably killing more)

We weren't thinking much of it but then they pulled the blm and died. As the "nice" guy had aplogized for his friend's actions we healed him and helped him through the fight between ours. The rest of us were surprised in the group when Trippy chose to raise the guy after the attitude but it happened. I don't think anything else was said, however we got the key about 5 mins later and d2d

And this is why i love this game, because no matter how many A-holes there are there is also a big population of good high quality players to counter the balance. Take the defenition of "good high quality" as you will.
The problem is that the A-holes are more often louder than anyone, thus hiding the nice players in a dark corner. So far i've had some runs with the bad apples my self but i am adult and patient enough to not have enemies, which is always a nice thing when it comes to MMO's

Everybody has their own way of dealing with annoyance, some become defensive, other aggresive, in which both of those one of the opposing parties will end up with a grudge. Im not saying everyone should do what Trippy did, thats a ridiculous request, however i do suggest that entering a conflict with an open mind, and ultimately a neutral compromise (not aggresive nor defensive in cases like Trippy's), will most often than none, have a positive outcome.

Well done Trippyman.

I believe all the main points have been made already, but i just wanted to say this:
