Not All Arguments and heated Discussions are FLAMES

Some of the admins of this forum need to look up what a flame really is. Because deleting an argument on the Auctionhouse forum between selling coin prices at different values was not warranted.

Every argument and discussion like that is a learning experience for those of that come after us.

How are you supposed to learn from mistakes if you delete them.

Just like shrugging off a natural disaster and pretending it didn't happen.

Useful information like how Perfect and OHex ran their dynamis shells was included in that lengthy thread and it would of been useful for people that may read those posts down the road...

Stop power tripping.
 
There were 11 posts that had anything even remotely to do with the topic at hand. 11 posts scattered throughout seven pages. Rather than have those interested in actually buying coins (the entire purpose of the thread) have to dredge through seven pages of a mindless debate over how much the coins should cost and how wrong the world is and how the economy is so bad and how the Japanese are all to blame (yes I read every single post--I don't delete a post without reading it), I am actually letting them see who wants to buy their coins all on one page.

If you like endless mind-numbing drama-filled debates, the Auctionhouse is not the forum for it.
 
The person that MADE the thread made several posts along the way which indirectly or not also helped push the discussion forward. Its THEIR thread, not YOURS.

They made it, and they continued the discussion. If you dont like it you should of deleted the entire thread.

Wheres the forum for civil FFXI based debates then? Sorry I dont see one. The flameboard certaintly isn't the place for that either.
 
How can you possibly think that a debate of that nature has anything to do with selling coins? Do you realize that the Auctionhouse is not the Flameboard? It doesn't matter if the OP participated in it (human nature took over), hell even I participated in it when I shouldn't have. I deleted all the unnecessary posts (including my own) and in a few hours have made the last six weeks of the Auctionhouse clean, neat, organized, and flame and drama-free.

I guess if you like the drama to leak out of the Flameboard and permeate every last forum on the rest of this site, then you should check out Alla.
 
This is my last post here: that debate was not civil. There were some civil-minded posts, to be sure, but the majority were angry, spiteful, and prejudiced. Rather than leave half a debate which now makes no sense, I deleted the entirety of it.

The only thing you needed to delete was the posts between Cohibu and Skaw, since they were indeed both flaming eachother. The rest were not flames.
 
Weee this thread has no point other than the two of you going back and forth. However, I agree with Decidence. That thread should have been left as is, regardless of how many pages it became.
 
Maybe you need to look up what a flame really is, Decidence. Showing Cohibu that he's a selfish asshole in a thread about not being a selfish asshole isn't flaming, regardless of calling him an idiot or not. He does bring the name calling on himself though, the guy isn't that bright, and further decayed the thread with showing his selfishness.

His last post was about selling coins at the steep price, in a thread about asking for people to kindly sell them to THREE PEOPLE at a reduced cost to be nice.

I blame the Carebear society we live in. If only kids today got slapped upside the head and called dumbasses by their parents whenever they did something wrong. None of this "Don't hurt their feelings!" bullcrap!

Why, when I was young and stepped out of line, I'd be looking for my teeth to put them back where they came out! Now you can't go anywhere without Social Services coming down on you for pointing a stern finger at your children!

But seriously. If you honestly consider calling someone an idiot a flame... Then please, by all means, do not go to any other message board that allows flames, or a devoted section to flaming someone(s).

Yes I love It Skaw, very true most kids today are able to get away with everything any anything, Children are threating their parents like they have power.
 
Stick it to the man and make a flame about it here, or a "discussion" or whatever you wanna call it.

He isn't even a moderator, he just doesn't want to argue with somthing he's obviously not going to get his point across.
 
Pretty sure Deci's making reference to Vet being the mod of the AH. =P
 
Isn't he mod of the Auctionhouse and the ls recruing boards?

Btw while i do not think that they should have been deleted (possibly moved so that we could continue what WAS a debate not a flame - ignoring cohibu and skaw.), but i gotta admit that what we were saying wasn't exactly on topic...we were basically arguing about the best method to run dynamis and why coins should be cheaper :P

Which argueably is on the topic of coins...but not really on the topic of "hey i'll sell you X coins for X price" (i know...i was shocked when i found out they expect that on the auctionhouse board as well...).

So anyway...yeah go! go! mod powers!
