Not All Arguments and heated Discussions are FLAMES

All I have to do is put the shell coins in my bazaar for 50k each, and everyone can see for themselves how many coins the shell bank has. Can't do that with gil. You can't stop any shell leader from cooking books.

can't do that actually.. FFXI only lets you see how many coins you can buy at the most with the gil you have. So if someone has 100k.. they can only see 2 coins in your bazaar. Someone would have to have about 5mil to see 99 1 coins at that price.

and anyways... I still think fair is the best way to go. I don't see how doing the 1,000,000mil/# of coins is bad.. or even the other idea where you take a certain number of coins to sell of for roughly 10k-15k. An ammount that won't go above 1 mil gil. Then the remainding coins would be 1,000,000 - amount you got from selling the certain number of coins for 10k-15k and then the LS gets an insanely good price on coins. as low as 1k depending on how many coins. It'd even out for the host (I.E you) since you do not like people using Dynamis to make gil as it was suggested in another one of your posts (on the linkshell board I think) where you wanted to make a LS where basically you broke even on the Hourglass so you could keep paying for a new one.

Correct. It works for NPC merchants, but not bazaars. You cannot possibly list up items that are stacked that will end up being more than what you can spend.

Fine. Let's make me do 90 percent of the work here while I spell everything out for the lazy in the crowd just so they can play "hop on pere"

I get 100 coins from a run that I host. I only host when no other members wish to host the runs. I put 71 up for 14k in a bazaar. They sell. That's 1 million gil. What do I do with the 29? I put them in the shell bank (IE my bazaar for 50k so no one buys them).

Two things can happen. I can top off someone's upgrade with them and jot down how many free coins they've gotten so that other hosters don't get shafted. Or I can give some out to the entire shell as a christmas bonus or something. Or top attenders. We keep those records.

Any way you slice it, I'm immune to petty criticism. I'm going to quickly stop reciting the ABC's to jog your all's memory. If you're going to adress me, do try a bit harder to comprehend the words coming out of my fingers. It's all there.

Peregrine, step away from the keyboard.. take a few deep breaths.. then go to bed ;) you've participated entirely too much in this thread lol

Because my system has nothing to do with you, and you can't possibly be big enough to admit that that's a good thing for my shell.

Honestly, do you understand what I'm saying? I don't think you're getting the grasp, Peregrine.

You get X coins.
Your members want to buy Y coins.
You sell at a 1,000,000/X to your members.
You're left with Z coins to cover the cost, do you sell at an increased value and refund your members the difference that peaks over 1 million, or sell for the remaining at the cost you gave your members?

1,000,000/x is what I give to shell members. You're not a shell member. When I have to sell coins, I sell to people who are SERIOUS about getting relics. By doing so, I get to keep as many coins as I can for my own shell.

So to give you the deal of 1,000,000/x is bad for my shell members. They get more coins when I don't sell to beggars.

It's just good for you, which is the extent of your vision. Whatever's good for you is what everyone should abide by. Sorry hun, hate to burst your bubble, but the world doesn't revolve around you. Especially the ancient coin world.

Don't ****ing put your assumptions about what your shells do into my conversations. I don't sell to members. I don't know how the hell you run your shells, but if you want coins in my shell, you trade me 1,000,000/n at the start of the run, N being the number of hosters in the shell. I don't sell JACK to anyone but strangers.

So you sell until you hit your 1,000,000 mark, the give the excess out....

WHY NOT SAY THAT TO BEGIN WITH WHEN I ASKED YOU

Okay, now you're just running around in circles.

And you wonder why people are suspicious about you. Harping on people who question, then don't word out what you're trying to say.

Because I said it ten times before, and you just couldn't grasp it. Do I have to draw pictures in paint? I can do that. Heck I think I will.

That might be more effect than dancing around questions and giving vague contradicting comments

Or you could grow some reading comprehension and spare me the trouble of signing it all out.

Or instead of saying you stated it in a previous thread which was purged of all but the basic ontopic posts, you could reiterate it for those that missed it, instead of complaining that everyones suspecting you of profiteering.

You're right. I shouldn't assume forum posters have the attention spans and memories of twinkie bars. I expect too much. Pictures forthcoming because this is babysitting now, and pictures hold attention:

I'm still failing to see why you're not going to sell your excess 1coins to people outside the shell. You set a price for members at 1mil / # of coins dropped, and then you just keep the rest to give out. You could EASILY just sell those excess at the same price to non-members, thus paying for the runs and ensuring ZERO abuse. There's only 1 mil possible with that system, so no one could accuse you of profiting. The way you benefit your members over non-members is you sell to your members first, then any excess go to people not in the shell.

Instead, you're selling some to members, then keeping the rest. You're claiming to give them out for free to members, fine. Despite how much that sounds like a blatant lie(you have to be honest, it's hard to believe), I'll buy it for the sake of an argument. If you give out the coins for free, what reason would someone want to pay for them in the first place? If I could spend 400k buying coins or i could get the same amount for free, I'd go for free everytime.

Also, your system doesn't really make sense with this:

So you sell your coins to members for 1mil / # of coins, then somehow come up with extra to hand out after you reach 1 mil?
