I've got a similar setup, I didn't overclock my CPU, but I've got a GTX 285 graphics card. Unfortunately, you won't get the full potential out of that setup unless you're using a solid-state hard drive or something stupidly fast like that. My CPU usage is rarely over 15% even while having 2 games running simultaneously, while unzipping 4 large files; but that was all limited by the speed of my hard drive.

way too expensive from the looks of things, I'll keep my $600 piece of crap.

Yeah, you can build a PC that'll handle any game at max/near-max settings without problems for about 6-700; I just overbuilt mine so that it's not going to need upgrading for a long, long time. I7's are massive overkill for all but a few uses.

but we like overkilling stuff no :)?

And about SSD, they're way too cool but I'm waiting for a bit more capacity/price. I'm just going to wait until christmas or spring before switching OSes drives and video cards. At least to leave some room for win7 to get out and play with it. As for the rest of the system I'm pretty much the same, core i7 920, 12gb ddr3 1600, 3tb space, gf9600gt, etcetc.

lol. I'm in the process of building a pc myself. No I7 for me but I think my Phenom II X4 955 BE 3.2ghz will be plenty.

I think we got the same tower case though. Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower?

Not quite as power hungry as your's but I think it'll be good:

ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor
Noctua NH-U12P 120mm SSO CPU Cooler
HIS H487QT1GP Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported IceQ 4+ Turbo Video Card
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3

I haven't bought the Ram or OS yet, but the rest of the computer is ready to go. I can't wait.

If you can wait, wait for windows 7.

Eh.. naw.. can't wait. Plus Windows 7 is gonna be too expensive for a long time. Vista 64bit I can get now for 99 bucks and will run smooth with my setup.

I want this pc up and running as soon as I get the parts put in it. (Or well.. shortly afterward)

My tower is a AZZA 1000 full... as for power overkill .. yes.. but like what was said hopefully not much upgrading for a long time..

Also any ideas on what the hell i can (do (make) to be more comfortable at my pc.. if u see in the pics . i sit on my butt, in front of the big screen. The floor is getting annoying.

Hmm.. Buy an office chair? You can find small comfortable ones for like $40 or so.

And that's weird it's not the same case.. but looks practically identical to the one I got. Even the slope at the top is the same (not to mention the blue led hard drive bay fans. Does yours also have a huge 200mm fan on the top?

Alot of Vista packs now come with a Win7 upgrade code. You get Vista now and when Win7 comes out, you get to upgrade to it for free.

Yeah, but he'd still have to reinstall windows 7 when it came out. I meant that if he didn't have to have it built immediately, to wait until windows 7 came out, and install it then rather than install twice.

yes 1 on top and 1 on the window . but the cpu cooler gets in the way for the 1 on the side

Ah, I see how the cases are different. Basically, yours has a digital display on the front. Mine doesn't have that, which is fine by me. Aside from that, it's the exact same case. So, someone ripped off someone's designs. :x

That case looks exactly like the Antec 902. I'm guessing cyberpower just rebadged it.

The Azza is a full tower.. 902 is a mid..
plus fan on top , sits flush with the top of case it does not protrude out.
. the slant on the front top is different also, more at 65deg not 45d
the fan and window are diff on the side also.

close... NO:nono:
