What do you think SE will give us players this year?

Last year we got regional teleporting. This year, we appear to have Market Moogles who'll warp you from one of the Three Cities to another. Do you think those will become permanent?
 
I can see these becomming permanent as a way to take advantage of the lower taxes outside Jeuno on the post -Lv20 equipment.
 
I hope it is something worthwhile. Right now these events seem to be more a ploy to get some gil out of circulation, than being much fun. I am really curious as to what giving the presents to children does though. Last year was great killing all the Twinkling treants. I swear I almost crapped my pants when I saw that tree turn the corner in S. Gusta with ~6 people running from it. :D

6 people? We had like 18!! It was scary as hell!!

I wasn't talking about when we were fighting it. =P When fighting it there were times in which the lag got horribly bad simply because the amount of people engaged. I was just headed out towards V. Dunes and nobody knew what the Christmas event was yet. I saw a Moogle by the Lizzy Spawn point and he said something about trees coming alive but I was just like "Whatever". So I take a few steps and I see ~6 people running towards me for all they were worth and suddenly behind them came a huge lumbering beast of a tree. So I promptly attacked him and died. Since I wasn't flagged for the event combat I lost exp. :? Although I lke to think I was one of the first to die by his branches. :lol:
 
Well, so far the only thing I found are as mentionned, the tele-port to each city. Giving gifts to children is what triggers it I think, not sure. I gave about 24 gifts so far (2 Ex).

Also got all 3 threes from every city in Mog house... I will try to figure out the enhancement later tonight. No idea if they do anything special.

I'll keep posting here if I find anything else.
 
Bastok tree gives you the moghancment of Gardening. I would assume so do the others.
 
Sabs you guys only had 18?? Damn.. in East Ronfare there must have been 20-30+ people beating on the Twinkling Treant last year. It was insane. But it was a heck of a lot of fun.. even though I was like lvl 13 or 14.. and died in like one hit.

Hrm, I only have the Sandorian tree, and after I set it in I got Mog Enhancement: Experience.

But really, I already had that with my Bronze Bed. So I dont really think the tree's add anything. Just that it always shows your last (recent) mog enhancement when you play with your furnature that doesn't add anything special.
 
We had 18 at the time...we were all wiped out pretty fast :D

They made larger groups afterwards
 
Did you remove your bed Ecks? I mean, my room was empty and when I added the tree I had the moghancment Gardening. It could be that the enhancment of your bed is just overpowering the trees effect.
 
Ah, oh well Kurgon >< I've got 3 different flower pots already, they give mog enhancement: Gardening too. But.. I wonder.. if the tree's are going to die or something.. after the holidays, and then all we'll be left with is a free pot?

Since.. if it gives mogenhacement gardening.. i wonder if you can actually see it listed in your gardening tab O.o. I didnt look at that.
 
I dont think this year's event will yeild anything, I think it's just more of a way to take a break from leveling, and have fun with your friends and celebrate the holidays....
 
:lol: Well then I don't know either. I am assuming that the presents are there so you can warp to the other towns and get the trees from all three cities. This way even the lowest of lowbies can partake without the fear of dying trying to run from city to city. The holiday lady in Bastok gave me 2 free gifts to give away so I guess that will give me 2 warps so I will give one more gift away so that I can return to Bastok as well when I am done.

Edit: I hope they don't die. I'd like to keep 'em. :P
