Nowhere Else for me to Complain

I camped it for so long because I wanted to. I know I could have bought the item. I have 1.7 mil in my pocket after buying the item for 150k. The price was never the issue. I saw something I wanted, I saw a way to get it, I tried to get what I wanted. I have been playing this game for almost 3 years now, and I have several very good ways to make money. I never complained about -having- to buy the item. I never complained about not being able to afford it. When I brought up the price in my original post it was simply to state that I paid more than the item was selling for on the AH on a regular basis. Am I mad about having to pay the extra 10k? No, I'm not. Good for whoever sold it to me. He or she caught me at the perfect time and made an extra quick 10k. Obviously the item was worth at least 150k to me because that is what I paid. I simply wanted to get what I wanted, and I wanted to get it the way I chose to get it. That didn't happen, sometimes it doesn't. It was just a little extra insult to injury that I stayed somewhere trying to get something for 4 days, simply to watch someone else get it. Then when I finally give up and go to the AH, I had to pay more than I would have had to pay if I had just bought it on Sunday and saved myself 4 days of boredom.

You can do whatever you want to camp an item. All I'm saying is don't blame god when your the one who wants to sit in a hole for 4 days when you could of bought the item on the AH in 30 secs. It's like you jumping off a building then blaming gravity that you went splat on the sidewalk.

The funniest thing about this post is you are defending God, by telling me not to blame him/her. Yet you seem to not care enough to put a capital G in the front of the name. **Newsflash** God is a proper noun. You want to sit and disect my post trying to find something wrong with me complaining about something. Then you should at least try and have enough sense to defend God properly if you have such a problem with me blameing my bad luck on him or her. Thank you this is all.

I think you missed his point, he wasn't defending god, fuck god. He was just saying that you shouldn't complain about something you chose to do but didn't worked out like you hoped. At least that's how I got it.

Yes, you must be right. It is my fault that killing this thing 7 times didn't yeild me the result I wanted, I must not have killed it hard enough. Yes it is my fault that when the calculations were done by the game to decide drops that the magic number for the bracelets never materialized for me, I suppose I could have wished louder. Yes it is my fault that I sat and watched that exact same calculation drop the bracelets for somebody else, on what, as far as I know, was the first time they had killed Ogygos. Because it is quite obvious that I am doing it wrong.

No, God is the only one who had control over the randomness that is programmed into the game. SE didn't make it so that Ogygos drops for everyone except Meaghan. God controlled the results, nobody else. I asked for a favor, and this time the answer was no. I've since gotten well over it.

You have managed to take, what was meant as a feeble attempt at humor after a bad day, and turn it into an arguement. I, as a rule, refuse to argue with morons. So the simple fact that I am responding to a post of yours for the the 3rd time means that you have shown me that there is someone else on the other side of this conversation that is worth debateing with. Kudos, I honestly did not think two people were allowed to post sensible arguements in the same Flameboard thread. Unless it was, of course, somebody agreeing with everything someone else had to say.

And as far as my, as you put it, "grammer Nazi" post, I apologize it came off as me being a elitest, that is not what I intended. I simply felt the need to point out that, in your post it seems as though the statement at the end of my OP annoyed you. And that you didn't really enjoy what I laid out for everyone to see. Yet, in protecting something that I seem to have attacked, you did not give the proper respect of the additional effort to push a Shift Key. I realize this is the internet, and people's names often are spelled with a lower case letter. It is easier, faster, and an all-around more efficiant use of time and energy. But please, if you are going to be offended that I seem to have passed the blame onto someone else for my own failings, please, at least show them the same respect I started out by showing them and spell their name properly.
 
Mea shouldn't be having to defend himself, as he's done nothing to those of you who have chosen to chastise him for posting about a bad day he had. Its a GAME, so how is anything in his control beyond his own character? He didn't tell Ogygos to not drop for him. He didn't tell Crave to suck at pld. What reason do you people have to flame him?

Though if I may say...better god tell you "no" to Ogygos than "no" to you walking across your next red light safely. :wink:
