Hope this has'nt been posted yet, sorry if so:

Additions to the Fellowship System

The version update in early October will bring the following changes to the Fellowship system:

-Several Fellowship quests will be added, including one that raises the NPC's level restriction.
-There will be an increase in the variety of equipment worn by the NPC.
-Extra conversational options will be available at the Rendezvous Point.
-There will be more fighting styles to choose from.
-More information will be displayed on screen, such as the NPC's hit points.

These changes and more will be included in the upcoming version update. Details may be found on the FINAL FANTASY XI main page as soon as they are released.

but yeah, i look forward to the event item storage thing. I have so many useless things cluttering my MH and Storage cuz im too stubborn to toss them XD

Wow I didn't know about the event item storage thing. That rocks, I have a ton of that crap too.

Also, they don't mention it in text, but on the official site, where they mention updates to the NPC system, they show a pic of a player and an NPC fighting a moblin in Movalpolos. So looks like they may be allowing us to summon them in dungeons too (thank god). I hope they also make it so you can summon them places that you have to complete missions to get to (e.g. Tavnazian areas, sky, etc...).

I hate my NPC's head. I want to switch it with a head that I like.

That makes me want to play Lego.

you can do that, but you start over at lvl 30

I want my NPC to not be as dumb as a brick, and to Paralyna herself before attempting to cure me, just to get paralyzed and not cast cure again for another minute.

good, i hate not being able to see my npc's hp in the middle of a fight, when im lvling somthing low with it and it grabs hate...a few minutes later...*thud* ...wtf? if i would have known she was going to *thud* i would have voked
/vomit on SE

Usually when lvling my NPC I'd check it's HP mid fight by selecting tractor from the Magic and scroll to it. This why I can check it's hp when I remember to do so. I hasn't been much of an issuse with my NPC lately since it's at Lv43. I do hope to get it to 50 before the "NPC Genkai." :)

Haha, gotta admit their White Maging abilities do lack. I keep mine in attacker mode, and she does pretty well. Her WS damage to our EXP mobs can break 350 on occasion.

One thing they BETTER update, is the freakin option of weapons. My NPC is still using a craptastic Great Axe. I want her to have a level 50 one, not level 15.. --;

That they do. I keep mine as a healer cause I like being able to get Protects, Hastes and even Cure IV on occasion, especially since I all I realy have to recover hp besides resting is Drain.

:)

Same reason for mine being healer, different alternative to hp recovery :P

So level your marksmanship and use Bloody Bolts; DRKs can use them. :P The only time I ever rest is if my NPC needs to rest, and I fight mobs that are EP to me when leveling her.

I fight EPs and I need nothing more than drain and my Vamp Cloak, plus occasional healings from the NPC...its not too bad. Not like I need her dmg anyways

My NPC sucks anyway, refuses to level.. s.o.b. But she has done well on the healing front so far i feel.

Oh.. and in Kyrail's quote it says Drain and Skaw's it says Chakra! Oh noez, we're all going to die...

I have marksmanship lvled, somewhat. But I'm too cheap to buy Bloody bolts to lvl my NPC
