I've recently been participating in multiple parties in the Boyhada Tree. Well, our party has generally been getting counter camped, per se, by high level PT's either skilling up, or leveling their NPC.

I have sent tell's before politely asking them to stop. Often I'll simply run by, hit /sigh and go " <Experience Points> <Monster>" and point at the crab.

Am I wrong to believe that an entire group of people in their 50's needing Exp are more important than a lvl 75 who wants to level their NPC? or Skill up dagger or something?

It just seems like 6 People needing exp would be more important than 1 wanting to level their NPC :/

If they were there first, then yes, you're wrong.

Ah. I figured something like that might come up. Generally we're there and doing fine, and then a group moves in. Though I do see the possibilities, I had a PT recently in Cape Terrigan. That area is more geared towards like 56+ no?

Whoever's in an area first, regardless of reasons why, has priority to the area. If a party is exp'ing, it's wrong for another group to come in and work on top of them. If a Beastmaster is soloing, it's wrong for a party to come in and work on top of him/her. If high levels are levelling their npc's, it's wrong for another group to come in and work on top of them. First come first serve. I'd even argue that if people are farming an area first, they have precedence over a party that comes in later. Noone is so important that s/he can walk into a zone and tell other people to leave. If you weren't there first, your exp can wait.

To me, people who level their npcs act either act like complete assholes or are perfectly okay, rarely in between.. For example, I saw TWO people xping their npcs on Yuhtunga Mandragoras at the SAME TIME with 3 xp parties there. These people were both level 75. Please explain to me why they couldn't kill the lizards or at least go fight mandies away from Kazham?

The non-asshole ones are smart enough to go somewhere where I'm either not seeing them or they aren't disrupting 3-4 other pts. As a bst I wander all over creation looking for quiet places to score the sexy xp. Sometimes I run into people levelling npcs in odd places. They may fight things I plan to fight but that's okay, they were there first and they aren't being a public nuisance. The thing I hate more than anything is when someone just barges into where I'm xping and goes to town on everything.

I guess basically npc levellers are the same as anything else in this game. You tend to remember the worst experiences and stereotype them all that way. I still don't "get" the whole npc thing (what do you guys do with them besides level them up?) but if you can do it professionally and courteously, then knock yourselves out.

30-45 Xarcabard > 45-55 Uleguerand Range > 55-60 Somewhere unpopulated at the time.

This should be a rule to where to exp your NPC. No reason you should be doing it where/when people are exping.

What if you've already called your NPC and then a pt shows? I'm not wasting my charge because someone feels they have more right to the place just because they are xping. I'll leave after my 20 fights :P

Exactly. The fact that a 75 was lvling theirs on mandies in the jungle?... wth? I have never run into anyone exping when lvling my NPC.

Then they're at fault, and can shut the fuck up and wait over there

You don't have to leave the zone, just do what I do, namely go elsewhere in the zone. I've had that happen a couple times in Altepa, and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. It's not like I need to have a safe stable camp out there or anything. :/

Yeah. I agree with most of the points made, like here's an example:

For a lil while I would go to the CN at like 1pm, and no one would be in the Sac room. So I'd go to town on Crawlers, and solo a decent amount of Exp on /Mage, WHILE farming Silk. I could go through 4 before I had to rest at around 33-44 Exp a kill. While not great, in your 50's, not all jobs can do that. And that wasn't even using all my MP till I almost died. Which I probably could have done.

I was going through there, and had parties come in, and I didnt' really pay attention, till someone sent me a tell. Mind you they were -very- rude about it, but after talking to them about their approach, we came to an agreement, and I left the CN so I wouldn't disrupt the PT's.

I agree, in -some- situations it's first come first serve. Others it isn't, like the Jungle or the Nest. When there are 2-3 PT's you should mosey on out and let them fight.

Of course, politely asking the person can make a huge difference.

It's everyones game you have no right to tell any other person that plays this game what to do, or how to play, or where to do it at. How bout you grow the fuck up and quit bitching about stupid pointless shit.

i'll exp my npc where-ever i want, and i'll do it when-ever i damn well please. i'm not paying 12 dollars a month to bend over and take it up the ass for any moron that thinks they can tell me what i can or can not do. thats the joy of being 75...tormenting low level crybabies.

I dont know about anyone else, but after me and my girl are finished with a LONG, HARD day of adventuring, we head back to the Mog House, turn on the video camera and get freaky.

(you can find some of our 'work' at the Auction House. just look under:
Others --> Misc --> Adult --> NPC's 'Exposed'

if you cant tell i was joking, i'm sorry.
