I just finished Chameleon Capers and got the T.M. Endurance - the one that unlocks Soothing Healer. Have any other QCDNers unlocked either Might or Fortitude that would be willing to trade (just long enough for the NPC to learn the style) their TM for mine?

I have Endurance and Fortitude....Still looking for Might

nah.. cythe doesn't have might.. i have it now... cythe has my endurance, lol

To me, soothing healer is the best one ^^

I have Might. Send me a /tell in game.

EDIT: I'll need it back, though, when you're done. Ecks needs to borrow it.

I've been wondering for awhile how u get Tactics Pearl. might be a noob question but none of my friends know yet.

NPC Emptiness sub-quest

This is the next step in the line of quests you have to complete, to my knowledge. I did this next, so that's how I'll run the order. To attain this quest, it would seem you have to summon your NPC 3 times after completing the previous quest. After the third summon, you can go to a Rendevouz Point and and select "Talk about quests." This will trigger your NPC to mention being asked to investigate the emptiness, and he/she will invite you along. Once you've gotten this message from your NPC, no official quest will appear anywhere, but it will be triggered. The NPC will not mention it again.

After getting this message, head to a basic Promyvion zone, and enter. I went in naked because this leg of the quest is quite simple if you are careful. Once inside the Promyvion, you will see a Rendevouz Point to the right of you. Examine it, and your NPC will automatically be summoned. You now have 45 minutes to find a ??? on the first floor. It is really quite simple. Once you find it, your NPC is awarded with 300 EXP, and you will be offered a warp to the entrance of the Promyvion. You CAN select to keep exploring, but I just took the warp, given I was alone. You are now done with this leg of the quest.

Return to a Rendevouz Point in a starting city once you complete this, and your NPC will thank you for your help and present you with a Tactics Pearl. This acts exactly as a Signal Pearl, except it has 4 charges, and a 10 minute reuse. I am not sure if it can be recharged, but I have a feeling things like this will be given for other sub quests involving your NPC. Use it as you will, BUT DO NOT WASTE IT WHILE YOUR NPC IS STILL LEVEL CAPPED.

Can someone explain to me please what the different new ones do? I'm interested. I have mine as attacker atm, when I level it, I act as the healer/debuffer and carby tanks.

yeah, I would like to know what the different ones do too (my NPC is only 34 <.<; I see no real use to level her >.<)

Stalwart shield (TM Fortitude)
-----------------
According to Skaw. This Combat style resembles a pld. It will only cure itself when partying. Still does the whole tanking thing.

Soothing Healer (TM Endurance)
------------------
This version of the healer has less mp but it won't spam its spells all day unlike the normal version of healer. When you actually have low health, it will have mp to give you some cures instead of already seeing 'warning, low health' before your battle has even started.... >.>

Fierce Attacker (TM Might)
-----------------
Not too sure about this one. According to Cythe it's practically the same as regular attacker. Not sure yet but it has more strength and deals more damage.

Yea I've still noticed pretty insignificant difference in Fierce Attacker. This is probably due to the restrictions placed on NPC DD thanks to SE's ingenious weapon upgrading for NPC(Voulge, then Twicer for GAX, nice..). Maybe if they let our NPC wield weapons worth a damn, they can do some real damage. Seeing mine do a 113 Raging Rush was depressing.

Mine has done 500 penta thurst once ^^;; Though she usually does 70 thunder thrusts -_-

I have Fortitude, looking for Endurance to complete my npc.

mines only 44 and ive seen her do as high as 432 with power slash but yeah normally she will do the lower WS its sad they really need to let you have a choice over their WS use at least for the Attacker job

Just because you've seen a high damage WS doesn't mean they hit hard. I can take Tsuim into any area with lower level mobs, and she will hit them for 300 per hit. She did a 650+ Sturmwind once, and I'm sure could break 1k on Raging Rush on a low enough DEF mob...But vs. their EXP mobs and higher, they can't do damage worth a damn.
