I've run by this a couple times in the past few days and this has become quite a concern of mine. QCDN has always been a place for me to go that isn't websense'd to read game info. I'm sure is the case for many others as well, but threads which are in themselves "neutral" without any kind of NSFW warning in the title with questionable images (Epic Boobs, for example) could jeopardize people's ability to be able to visit this site from other places than home.

I guess what I'd like to suggest is to extend the spoiler clicky functionality to perhaps like an NSFW one as well and for it to be enforced.

And yes, I know technically people shouldn't be visiting game sites from work. Seriously though..who ever abides by that? :|

Feel free to report those posts and the mods will be more than happy to change the title to add NSFW.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the response. :D

But wouldn't he have to open it and see it to know it was NSFW? Like my topic could be something totally not relating to anything bad but could have NSFW stuff in it :/

I'm in the same boat and you can prevent yourself from getting burned. Turn off images while you browse at work; you miss out on some good funnies but it's a good idea in general:

Websense tracks more than just the domain you visit. They track bandwidth usage, image/text ratio, clicks per day, all sorts of shit. This is just what I know of. I've seen reports from others in my IT group that detail this much about our browsing patterns - who knows what else may be monitored by the Websense proxy.

The big one, for us at least, is bandwidth usage. I turned images off so my time on QCDN is tracked as ~90% text, 10% images. This low bandwidth usage means QCDN won't be flagged as "high bandwidth" to the proxy admins here. If it's a high-bandwidth site and they find they're spending too much on bandwidth each month, they may block the site just based on costs to the company.

Turn off images at work and you'll float safely by for ages, in theory. It disables sig images as well. I leave avatars on since they're generally tiny.

That's probably a more feasible solution. I wasn't actually aware of such a setting. Some people browse youtube and shit all day but I prefer to not walk on too thin a line. Thanks for the suggestion..

All the time in the world to j/o and look at pictures all day. (unless you actually undertake a serious course load... then its only part time fun XD)

They were saying that 10 years ago. Most people, myself included, still prefer to have a hard copy of something to read... and 100 pages of current events in hard copy for $1.50 can't be beat.

There is a reason that you can use a newspaper article as a source in a college paper, but you can't use most internet sites.
