Nyzul Isle Assault.

Just did this and i thought making a thread so some people can have some clue to this.

Did this with 6 people. Seems best since most mobs can be hard. Some floors require that you kill all the mobs so 6 people would be faster then 3.

So far the drops on the first 4 floors are weird buffs(talking about Bottle of Spy's drink and other types) and ??? items.

Some parts are very maze like and a pain in the ass. Best to have one person explore these and follow only if there are mobs over there.

A standard pt did very hell. We only had one death and that's when the Nin 2hr'd lol.

Each floor has a different objective. For us it was
Floor 1- kill a Nm.
Floor 2- Kill all enemies.
Floor 3- Kill enemy leader.
Floor 4- Kill all enemies without killing the gears.

If anyone else has anything they would like to share. Feel free to add.

I'm sure there are others who did it cause we didn't do it right away but it was fun and i'm looking forward to doing a static on this.

When you kill a NM, you get a chest and it drops a ??? item. Presumably it has a chance to be appraised into the drop of that NM. We got a ??? Sword from Frostmane and a ??? Ring from Asphyxiated Amsel. Didn't get the Lockheart or the Malgust Ring though.

can the blue chests be "empty"? sometimes when i opened them they didnt contain anything o.o!

You have to do the objective and nothing else... otherwise you'll run out of time fast, lol

also note we seemed to get a 10min extension on a big gear on floor2 if im correct, forget the specific name. Nearly all the gears we did kill limited a ability, such as black magic, job abilitys, WS. Something of that nature. When we proceeded to the next floor all the restrictions were removed/erased.

got ring, sword, and hand "???" items. From appraise we got all lvl1 nooby type gear lol.

Yea, our ??? Sword and ??? Ring ended up being a Bronze Sword and a Leather Ring.

We got trash items as well. I'm not really eager to go back until more people have explored and there's more info about it.

Do you need a specific Assault Rank level to be able to do this one?

Nope. Can be any assault rank. You start off on lvl one and work your way to the top floor(floor 100 i think).

At first we all picked up the runic disk. make sure everyone picks this up. its for saving your progress.

Check the rune of transfer and it will tell you what the objective is. it appears to have different objective each time on each floor- check it so that you know what to do and arnt wasting time.


i tested to see if teh ramparts are like in salvage, where they spit out monsters in hope to get a NM.

i found out, they do not. or at least the ones we fought didnt spit any monsters out.

when your objective is met the rune of transfer will start to glow and allow you to jump to the next floor.

we came accross our first NM on the 2nd floor

or NMs instead of items droping in the treasure pool, items are in chest that pop after the NM death. who ever opens the chest revieves a ??? item.

found and fought one of the new monster types~ nothing too too special about them but i think they *might* drop new items for crafting new armors and junk.

we fought a beefed up version of Jaggedy eared jack as our 2nd NM

the ramparts seemd to have been on each floor

this room seemd to have a garden/plant theme to its monsters, so i dunno if there is a possible pattern or if it really is just random

time ran out but this was in the first room of the 5th floor - too bad we didnt get to kill it D:

over all-
its fun as hell, the rooms arnt too big.
you can will get tons if diff types of crystals ( yay crafters )
the mobs give xp and gils
and the drop rates on NMs are too early to tell how well they are.
the bigger NMs that have more than 1 drop im interested in seeing how the chest work. ( i wonder if vclaw AND ring both are possible to get from serket. in 1 kill etc )

Some more info on this assault.

The objective "kill enemy leader" Is just to find the NM on the floor and kill it. Not everything in this assault cons as Impossible so it's easy to tell the NMs from normal mobs.

Add any info you have people. I waiting to see anyone get decent drops from this.
Got a new objective today.

"Eliminate specified Enemy"
It didn't really tell us which enemy to kill. We just killed about 4 Skele's and we beat it so i'm not sure how this works yet.

on my Groups 2nd attmpt we were halted at the 1st floor due to us getting a "Light all the Lamps AND dont kill archaic gears" which was fucking impossible

Casue the lamps had to be lite in order and apparently that order changed with every failed atmpt to turn the next light on..

it was very frustrating casue the damn gears were everywhere and were true sight
