From what I've heard, it's a dropped chest (sortof like Limbus I suppose?) that gives one ??? item. I've personally never heard of a chest not dropping. That's...horrible. >< One can only hope that if you get the armor it's one of the three pieces and can't be some crap item instead, but knowing SE...either way, could hope not. I'll ask a few friends who've done it, see if they can give any better details.

What about floor 100? If you progress from 99 to 100, you lose the save data from 96 according to wiki and I assume that means all data from 1 to 100, but what's the point in that?

Set armors actually drop. There are no chests from HNMs. They go directly in to the treasure pool, and must be lotted.

It's true. All you get is the headpeice of one of the armor sets, and a relatively crappy weapon. It's assumed to have some major hidden bonus on it (like equippable during salvage, or to be like Relic weapons that start off really crappy, but there's somebody who will make them better.

Yes quoting myself. Just found an interview on BG that prettymuch confirms that there's something. SE isn't saying what (do they ever?), but there is something.

According to Skaw, it's been confirmed that floor 20's NM drops feet, floor 40 legs. Floor 60 is hands, 80 hat, 100 body. It's also said that they all only drop one ??? item, which would mean there's a 1:3 chance of it being the piece you're after.

The Goliard Hat/Body look very nice, shame that it'd take so long to get just one. =/

Quick correction, floor 80 drops body pieces, floor 100 drops head.

I doubt it, seeing as how none of the other pieces are 100%.

Considering floor 100 has only a few recorded wins... Nobody's in any position to say what drop rates are, so far they're 100%.
