I've just looked at the Yigit set in particular for the first time and omg.

Head:
* Mind +4
* Magic Attack Bonus +2
* Enmity -5
* MP Regeneration While Healing +1
Body:
* Evasion +7
* Magic Attack Bonus +5
* Song Spellcasting Time -10%
* MP Regeneration While Healing +5
Hands:
* Intelligence +5
* Mind +5
* Evasion +4
* Magic Attack Bonus +2
Legs:
* HP +25
* MP +25
* Evasion +6
* MP Regeneration While Healing +2
Feet:
* Intelligence +3
* Mind +3
* Evasion +5
* Magic Attack Bonus +2

That looks to be ungodly nice for mages to me. Especially BLM and RDM who solo. And if you equip the whole set, you get Refresh. Not sure how powerful the refresh is, but damn, overall that looks amazing. +9 MAtt Bonus from 4 pieces seems like a lot to me compared to what was available already.

The melee ones are almost as good, I think I'd be able to solo pretty decently with the one PLD can equip, Amir gear.

And if you are wondering, each piece is obtainable by getting 20,000 Assault points, one part in its respective Assault location.
 
Am assuming its 1mp/tick refresh, like everything else that gives that effect.
But yeah, pretty nice set.
Body's good for no-manteel gimp BRDs. ;-)
 
Yeah, I at least want the boots, which in my opinion, are much better then Rostrums for BLM (hmmm.... fast cast or magic attack +2... lol). This way I wont have to wait to fight that damn nm, lol.
 
I'm personally unimpressed by the set...unless it gives more than 1mp/tic, it only seems to be mostly good for resting, as most mage jobs have better Relic/JSE for every slot.

Also, have there even been any Assaults yet? The areas never seem to have any hoardes forming, at all...all the same, think I'd rather get the ACC/STR belt and that ACC amulet before even trying to see if that sets worth it. =/

I never realized it, but for someone with a Hughes AV, you sure are awfully serious. ;-;
 
That whole Yigit Set needs to give us +3 MP Refresh per tick (+2 at the least).

I have a constant +2 MP Refresh with Body and SMN sub. Won't settle for less.

Besides, with all those Magic Attack Bonus + it's clearly better for BLM.
 
this set is good to macro in for resting and the feet are probably the best feet for blm. The head is the only other peice I might wear for nuking

It's not that good for whm except for when you're resting, even then there's already alternatives for the gear.
 
I'd be glad to get the set, if only each piece had SOME Mp, could have at least given 10 Mp.

Only piece I like as RDM is head for -5 enmity, since I'm not going to wear RDM JSE condom hat. Rest is not great, only slightly better then equip I already have.
 
the feet are the only noteworthy piece in the set, replacing the rostrum pumps as #1 dmg boots

Compared to what? 30 mp, mnd, int, and fast cast. Could use some -enimity, but there isn't much more I would ask for from the foot slot.

Body is worthless for brds. Errant body's +10 chr -3enimity +5mph>>>>>-10% song casting. Manteel isn't even any good compared to errant. Just overpriced toy to show off your money in Jeuno. Spellcasting time is irrelevent because you have to wait the same amount of time for it to finish before casting your next song.

If 30 MP is going to make or break a ga III or IV cast, then sure, go with Rostrums I suppose. But for BLM, Agit is better after that first nuke.
 
Agit? Do you mean agility? Anyway, Rostrum are good because they have nice stats and there are few good alternatives (until now anyway). Rostrum will still be a superior choice for whm and rdm.
