Obama you cowardly piece of shit...

Do you even know what Racism is?

You obviously don't.

The fact that you think it's racist if a black guy votes specifically cause he's black (and not on the issues) is but if a white guy votes specifically cause he's black (and not on the issues) is not then that seems ironically racist on your part.

I'm not going to bother trying to justify it to you. The conversation was kinda fun when it was just about you being neocon bitching about a successful rescue mission. Throw in your latest comments about affirmative action, and it's clear it'd be in one ear and out the other.

I'm sure you fit right in at the teabag rallies. It was a very monochromatic group.

Want to go fishing sometime?

A white person voting for a black person because they're black(and vice versa) is the antithesis of racism. I'm not saying it's a legitimate reason for voting for Obama, but it's quite literally the farthest thing from racism you could possibly bring up as an example for racism. That's all. There's nothing more that can be said about this.

edit: Oh Turkey sandwich, you cause all sorts of typos.

Anti-censorship but pro-banishment from the country. I see.

Don't get me wrong, you can spout this bullshit all day long. Never once have I told you to shut up or stop posting. But the fact that you're against money going to progress where this country direly needs, and hate on a President not rushing blindly in to a terrible situation but instead waited on giving the go ahead on an absolutely successful plan to rescue a hostage it is proof positive you don't belong here.

If you people were all as fair-minded as you think you are, you'd realize we are in deep shit with Obama in charge and if we do survive, not financially destitute as a nation, it will be because of the perseverance of the American people and not this shit for brains whose currently running things into the ground.

Excellent. You've got your ass covered both ways. If there is failure, it's Obama's fault. If there is success, it's the nebulous "spirit" of the American people. How nice, how convenient.

Please stop watching FOX news.
Please.

Could not fundamentally disagree with you more. Regardless of the color of the individual saying it (I don't even see how that's relevant), if you are negatively or positively biased for an individual or group SOLELY based on the color of their skin and not the content of their character. Your a racist.

Yes I do, I'm not the greatest typist I'll admit. I'll fix it for you.

Yeah I think technically, even partaking in positive stereotypes make you racist to some people. I'm a massive racist in many many ways.

You can disagree with me all you want, it doesn't mean you're correct. It's not racism for a white/black guy to vote for a black/white guy just because of the color of their skin. It's something else.

Wow, what's wrong with you? Do you go out of your way looking for things to argue about? I was talking about my typos.

Yeah what it's called? I was trying to be polite. I am correct.

Well I typo a lot too. Sorry if I assumed you were talking about me.

Racism is believing your race is superior or inferior to another race. Nobody White(not a worthwhile amount anyway) who voted for Obama voted for him because they believe Blacks are superior. You'd have a better argument if you went the route that he got the votes to win because he was the first serious Black candidate, and people wanted to make history.

Denying that you're racist by saying everyone else is racist doesn't make you any less racist.

So why can't a white guy vote for the white candidate just because he's white believing truly in his heart that whites are not superior to blacks? How come that guys a racist according to you?

If you can with a straight face tell me that whites(blacks/asians/hispanics) voting for whites(blacks/asians/hispanics) just because they're white(black/asian/hispanic) without racial discrimination playing a picture, I'll concede my point. But you can't, because it doesn't happen.

Just a note: those words in parenthesis are interchangable, not mix and match. Pick one in a set and it applies to all the others.

Your telling me a white voting for blacks just because they're black isn't racist.

As long as race is a factor in any part of the equation. It's racism. Race is being applied over character.

When it's one person regardless of race voting for a person based solely on their character and not their race, then its not racism.

Seriously, quit trying to play off the fact that you're a racist like this. It's getting quite disgusting that you're taking a woefully ignorant stance so lightly like this.

This just in....

Your actually the racist and you don't even know it. Congratulations!

I'm done bantering with you, I think people get the gist of our positions they can decide for themselves.

If someone not liking Obama makes them racist then the person who thinks that needs to look in the mirror.

If saying the color of his skin helped Obama get elected (and it most certainly did) is racist then the person who thinks that needs to pull their face from his crotch for a minute and wake up to reality.

Anyone who says himself/herself is experienced enough to run the free world is full of shit.

Tomasello, just stop it. You aren't racist if you're a white guy voting for a black guy, unless you're a wigger and think blacks are superior, which I assume the majority of the white people voting for Obama didn't think.

A black person voting for a black president because he think black people are superior is also racism. It goes both ways. A black person voting for a white president is not a racist though. Not that they've had much choice before this time, though...

Before Obama and Clinton were running there was Ron Paul who defiantly would have won. For the presidential debate they brought in 2 types of people the world would like to see win. A Woman and a Black man. Neither of their policies match Ron Paul's. The Majority of votes were based on popularity to a point where none of the candidates ever existed in the first place.

People like to be part of a glorious win. In many cases that is what drove a large number of votes.

I'm not saying Obama is good or bad when i point this out, he's my 2nd choice. And it's not a race thing when i say Ron Paul would make a better leader. All the negative things that are happening today, Ron Paul mentioned it would happen 10 years ago, and he strives towards true freedom and economic growth and trade, and above all world peace. He acknowledges that the US Government has done a lot of wrong in the world, and is often ridiculed for it by those with power. If Ron Paul won the election and stuck with his policies, none of our troops would be over there. Yes I'm a fan of Ron Paul, but just to clarify, it's not because there are other Ron Paul fans, it's because I pay close attention to all who's in the running to be the most powerful man in the world. Unlike the others, i believe Ron Paul is very real, if he wasn't what he made himself out to be, I'd be pretty hurt by that.

But yeah Obama is indeed (as they say) a Rock Star. Larger than any president in history, and at this point in time, his status is not based on what he's done, it's based on the belief that he'll lead America into a better direction. Him being a Black man did drive some votes, A lot of my Family and friend are huge on Obama cause his new power is an expression that equal rights do exist, and that is what gets them all excited. Aside from that, all Obama has to be is better than Bush Jr. and there's satisfaction in many.

There is truth in either side of the argument in this thread, in regards to what reasons people voted for Obama. No point in fighting over it though.

So in order to determine if I'm I racist, you need to know my race? If I say, "I only voted for Obama cause he's black!" then I MIGHT be a racist but only if I'm black.... If I'm white then its ok, unless I'm a wigger, then I'm a racist.

That doesn't sound ridiculous to you?

A black person voting for a black president because he think black people are superior is also racism. It goes both ways. A black person voting for a white president is not a racist though. Not that they've had much choice before this time, though...

Let's examine the two common definitions of racism

rac·ism (rā'sĭz'əm)
n.

1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

Number one doesn't apply to what we are talking about. I sincerely hope no one here is still trapped in that kind of mentality.

Number two is what we're looking for. Discrimination or prejudice based on race. As in, "I (the white guy) am going to vote for the black candidate because he is black and not the white candidate (thereby discriminating against his race) because he is white."

Where in the racist rule book does it say you can't discriminate against your own race?
