Oblivion

Sounds cool.

I am starting to think my 360 or my game is glitched. I had that one problem but it fixed itself. But now I am trying to get further in the Thieves Guild and this guy that is supposed to forge me a letter in 24 hours won't return the letter and I have waited like a week.

Skaw you've put out some really useful information, thanks!

One more question however, and it may be because I couldn't really dedicate much time to finding out, but I went to attempt to tell the guards in the thieve's mission to place the blame for a theft onto a woman who was a spy (I forget all the names, I was tired and ready for bed), and the guard who is overly adamant about capturing the grey fox merely says: "You'll have to do better than that to pursuade me that you are telling the truth!" when I tell him that the statue figurine is inside the woman's house. I maxed my disposition with him at 72. He likes me, that's for sure. Anything special I need to do to finish this up?

Even at 72 when you max it, you might need to Bribe him a bit to get it even higher. Once he believes you, he won't actually say he believes you. He says something like this chick has been my informant, I don't believe it, but I'll check anyways. Then he walks off and you have to follow him to the chicks house where a short scene ensues.

Anyone know a good place to make a lot of money stealing stuff? I have going into a house and finding nothing but food for 1 gold a piece.

Most of my money I made raiding ayleid ruins... that, and synthing stuff. Stacks of potions add up pretty quick.

Nah, money I am fine with. What I do need is money to raise my amount of stolen money so I can get more missions from the Thieves Guild.

I swear I have a glitchy game or something. I just got Mundain's Amulet for that old mage lady that is going crazy. I run back to the guild and she won't take it, and the green arrow is following her around. I tried putting it in her inventory through pickpocketing, but it won't let me.

lol Shit, I just tried the pickpocketing thing again after restarting my 360 and I got caught lol Now I got find 40 flowers to get back in the guild -.-

You only need 20 of either flower, it's just bad text in the quest info, it says "and," but it's supposed to be "or"

That's good news for future reference. I ended up going back to a past save that I was so glad I had.

And I just became head of the Thieves Guild. I am a Thief and an Assassin now. Time to go become a Mage and make a lot of money somehow so I can buy a nice house.

Well, that's the thing, the bribe option is no longer highlighted >.>.. which is where I was confused, and turned off the game for the night.

How's your Mysticism skill? It has Charm spells, which raise the target's disposition with you quite significantly if you use a high-tier spell. If you're Expert or so, create the best Charm spell you can - that should easily bump your disposition with the guy over 100.

Note that the 'duration' of charm spells can be very short to save MP cost, since you only have to begin conversing with the NPC while the effect is on him/her. It doesn't have to last the entirety of your conversation, since timers are stalled anyways during talks.

Dude, the mask Gray Fox gives you is so awesome. I just put it on, kill everyone and steal everything. Then I run into a house with no one in it, take the mask off and just walk out like I did nothing lol I've just been raiding towns trying to make money. I want that big house lol

Can anyone tell me how I can capture souls into the soul gems? Keeping in mind, all my magic skills apart from restoration and destruction are under 10

Get mysticism up higher Flymop, at 25 I think is the first Soul Trap spell. Cast it on a guy, kill him, if you have an empty Soul Gem large enough to hold it's soul, you'll capture it.

Alternative: travel to Vindasel, an ayleid ruin on the coast southwest of the Imperial City. In there you will find a badass named Umbra; kill her, and her sword has add'l effect: Soul Trap. Total bitch to fight though, she smacked me up fast and hard the first 12 times.

Break her weapon? You mean disintegrate, or whatever it's called?

I took her on at lv7 I think, when my highest skill was mid-50s armorer. I hated magic back then.

Where is a good place to get Grand Soul Gems?

I seem to recall a quest where you're given 4 grand gems a week... I couldnt tell you any more than that, I just kept collecting mine over time. I never really used enchanted items until later in my levels, so I had a big stash waiting for me when I finally gained access to the Arcane Uni.

Hmm. I only have 2 Grand now, but a whole lot of Petty and Lesser.

Trying to cure this damn Vampirism ;;

Ooh... what level are you now? I've found Grand Soul gems in the guilds, mainly the Mages Guilds in various cities. In those locked display cases. I'd shoot for... Skingrad, maybe Leyawiin might have some if you're high enough level.

I am only level 4. I've mostly been questing, not leveling lol I've been checking the guilds since I used my Thieves Guild mask thingy to steal a key to the guilds. The only ones I can find are ones to buy.
