Odd question regarding the Consulates

This has been "bothering" me since I found out what the consulates are generally for. It's rather obvious for the the consulates of the 3 Nations in the other nations and in Jeuno... but what about the Consulates of Jeuno? Do they serve any real purpose besides "just being there"?

So far as i've discovered; no, theres no purpose for them being there besides just..being there.

My guess is that they exist as a show of Jeunos power and sway over the three nations. It also could be as simple as the consulate acts as eyes and ears for the Duke in other nations. Or, perhaps the consulate distributes gil to the nations; as Jeuno holds power over all money trade. Gil coins are even stamped with the Dukes visiage.

..Of course these are all just theories. Maybe people can become Jeunonian Citizens one day?
 
Well since jeuno is considered it's own nation, for any nation to have diplomatic ties it has to have a consulate in each city it deals with.

I wouldn't let you have my address unless I had yours.

If they let players allign themselves to jeuno, you'd see just about every 20+ player changing alleigance to jeuno. Access to your storage, access to outpost warps, access to 90+% of the higher level players and economy all from the same city? There's not much reason to not change to jeuno, other than national pride. Jeuno would own every zone every week, it'd make "out of nation's control" gear worthless, but most people don't care about it.

Anyways, SE said it's not going to happen, so it's all moot.

If you use that gear a lot, switch to another nation and have it everywhere you went.

It would kick ass because you'd get to get the outpost warps to everywhere within a week lol
 
wont happen because jueno has no conquest over reigions. Though i think it se way to try be realistic as possible so they made consalates in the 3 main citys
 
The consolate exists to provide Heroic symmetry to the consulates. There must be and equal number or all hell breaks loose.

I think they should add a Duchal Aketon.. White aketon.. have to have rank10 in all 3 nations and 100k CP ..... But it damn better have a cooler attribute than the crystal/movement crap (movement only working IN the nation/if you are its allegience) perhaps let you move 12% quicker in ANY zone controlled by your current allegiance >.>;

Or how about just +12% in Jeuno... It might overcome the lag...

in theory if you have more people running around with this on moving faster. using a higher bit rate then it would actually lag everyone even more
 
Besides for one of the mission, you can have your signet from one of the guy in the consulate. It is helpful if you are low rank and try to xp around the low lvl zones in other country =P. Maybe you will play the pivot point thru which ur country will gain control of that region XD.

They should make it so that everyone withing a mile radius moves 12% slower?
