Official absence

As of last Thursday, I will be taking an official leave of absence. It's not of my own doing, but I have been removed from my home and am unable to play. I might be back in a month or so, but it could be longer.

I can't disclose details, but I'll be alright.

Well even though I don't like you I hope that things work out at home... When you said you were removed from your home I assume that you were kicked out. But that may not be the case either so whatever the reasons good luck.

No, I was removed from my home by DYFS, Division of Youth and Family Services, government social workers. It wasn't willingly. I greatly wish I could return home, but I can't, I can't even visit my parents or get things from home that I need. They can't come visit me either. Next court date isn't for another month, so I'm stuck where I am for now until then. I did have a say in where I was going, so that's the only good part. I miss my home a lot though.

Sadly I can relate to having social workers come into my life and change it forever. Luckily when it happened to me it was a GOOD thing and it really helped me in life down the road. I will never give details on why social workes made their way into my life but I am thankful to god that they did. Whatever happened between your parents and you just hang in there. Sometimes life-changing instances can be life-saving ones.

Heh, that's the thing though, nothing was ever wrong, and I'm suffering because of things that are untrue. Never trust anyone, that's the only thing I've learned from this experience, other than to watch what you say. But I've decided just to take it as it comes now, I'm safe, but I want to go home so bad. Tension building between the person I'm living with though, and it's obvious now. Minimal time here is a month, but I want to go home now. I kindah wish I had chosen someone else to stay with.

Little bit of an update -

Might be able to get my PS2 from home so I can play where I'm living now, but I'll be severely restricted on times. I still don't know if and when I'll ever be going back to living at home, if I am, might be moving somewhere else so that'll cause some more problems.

I'm sorry Lyrai, that sounds like a lot you have goin on there. I unfortunately cannot relate much, other than my parents having a very ugly divorce when i was 16(but whose haven't?), but i will say that it's way too early to worry too much about it. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I wonder because these things are much much tougher the younger you are.

Trust me when i say, one way or another things will work out just fine. I've come to find that life is what YOU make it. Meaning... if things aren't headed the way you hope, all you can do is all you can do. Just try your hardest to get where you're going and before you know it you'll see things starting to get better.

DIvorce rates aren't quite that high yet. Thank goodness. My parents almost got divorced when I was 12, but moved to Tennessee shortly thereafter and I guess the lack of the stressors in Ohio helped them stay together.
