MAB on your legs.

A second D.ring for PLDs that takes the body and head slot.

Almost complete remake of the Adaberk set.

Please, explain what you were expecting them to make? >_>

I was expecting something, idk... better? I dunno, but after reading the other thread and seeing you can also get old Abj in Einherjar I have much higher hopes... lol

Do you mean you might have come back? DAMN U SE JUST DAMN U!!!

Not quite, but having played FFXI for 3 years is too much for me to just remain emotionless about new stuff :P

So you have to do everything in order to get the optimal set for every situation.

/shrug, for me that beats them, say, releasing a Adaberk-equivalent that was the exact same piece with 5 more points in everything.

I'd have a hard time being more disappointed about the gear released in this update... Guess that'll teach me not to be a WAR/NIN.

Correct me if I am wrong, but...

Has WAR ever gotten something negative from SE?

Can anyone find me wtf a Rook Banner is? Im assuming furniture. But I was going to make one for shits... but I realized I forgot to read the second page of ingredients.

So I went back to the CC guild and checked again.
Blah Blah Blah... 1x Rainbow Cloth. ok

1x Pigeon's Blood Ruby Uhh... wut?

1x Siren's Macrame Fuck this.

lol, beats Flint glass sheet. At least all your ingredients existed in game before today. WTF is a minium and where does it come from?

To clarify, yeah, was referring to the m.acc potentially helping land a song that a certain mob might normally be specially resistant to - it's not much, but it at least has that possible use.

WHM and their (C+?) enfeebling sure as hell isn't going to be any better with some m.acc, and SMN obviously wouldn't need m.acc for anything at all. Would it have killed them to have added 1-2% cure potency, conserve MP or -perp to the set to make it even remotely worth getting from WHM or SMN? Right now it's like a bunchof freaking Wise+1 gear.

This set suck for brd, whm and smn obviously, just like the old one anyway.

The whole set is interesting for rdm, and the HQ owns wise gear. More specifically Body is awsome, NQ gives you the equivalent of Elemental skill/dark skill +11.

The legs are good for blm and maybe if you are going against stuff that resists a lot, blm could make use of other parts, since 1 mac=1.1 to all skills.

I'm not sure why whms think they can't enfeeble. You have 5 less base enfeebling skill than blm, and more gear to boost your enfeebling (but it does take dyna-xarc relic, where all standard blm enfeebling gear is easy). With merits and a decent gear set you could be sitting on an A+ skill. It's not gonna matter vs big stuff, but whm wouldn't have trouble with exp level mobs, dynamis mobs, or small HNM's.

I'd rather have Mahatma pants when resists are an issue as BLM, I'll take 8 INT over 4 skill. For raw damage the NQ would be better, and the HQ looks somewhat reasonable (possibly sitting on the 11 tier of clothcraft for those that got that final previously worthless level of cloth)

Yea I know. Just not an ingredient you see often.

Actually, they have nothing to do with Odin as an Avatar. Odin Prime is in the last cutscene. Basically, The Dark Rider and Odin are "copies" of himself lurking around the world. Basically, his "reincarnation". Luzaf will eventually take Odin's place as the Dark Rider, but until then, he's only a weaker version, Odin Prime is the real one living in the underworld, whom temporarily visits the real world through a portal.

While it is possible that we'll get Odin as a summon sometime, I'm not sure how they would do it considering the current storyline. Although I suppose they could find a way. just look at Fenrir and Diablo

That's what I like, keeping the faith. You know it's coming!

So when resists are an issue, you'd rather take something that has not been proven to affect resist rates over something that has?

Quotes from Wiki:

It is generally accepted that Intelligence has absolutely no effect on the rate at which offensive spells are resisted (see resistance), but that it does affect the base damage taken from most magical attacks (sort of like STR and VIT rolled up into one).

INT reduces the base damage of Black Magic spells and Ninjutsu.
Some people believe that INT also increases resistance to these spells, but this assertion is hotly contested by those who are certain that only MND, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Resistance affect this.

To me, Shadow Trews look to be, at first glance, better than just about anything out there for general use. Personally, I'd take a .04% damage increase with added chance of no resist over maybe a 10-15 base damage increase from 8-10 INT. When we're talking about 1k+ nukes, I think shadow trews will win out. Need to get a pair and start some extensive testing.

Correct me if I am wrong, but...

Has WAR ever gotten something negative from SE?
Has any job ever gotten something negative from SE? Useless, sure. But negative, not really. Tumbling Sandals and Spelunker's Hat are about all I can think of.

War just gets more and more options for gear. For some reason. Christ in the body slot alone there's like 5 or 6 good (or situational) options. They're just mostly huge pains in the ass to get.

One nerf, coming right up!
