Official Datmining thread! 4/08/09 *updated/spoiler tagged**

Wait, hold on a sec, I thought this was already the case from my leveling in Caedarva. Blood Pacts are job abilities, so of course they get shut off by Amnesia... that includes assault/release, which is why it was so noticeable. I remember mainly using Leviathan on imps mostly BECAUSE he had a high resistance to Amnesia...

Did they change something to be the same as it was? O_o

I think they are saying they expanded it to the point where you can't use it even if your avatar has amneasia now too.

I know BP's we're usable anytime as long as you weren't amnesia'd, even if your avatar was.

That will probably make it harder for SMN's to solo imps now. :/

Not sure if this is true. If it is... amazing.

I'm guessing all of them have different point values. Say, you can either do 2 lower augments (ex: attack + acc, mnd + int) or one higher one, like refresh, haste, fast cast.

Also guessing you can't throw Refresh on everything. Guessing it is reserved for body slot only or something, unless it costs like 5 mil to add.

What I wonder the most is if you can throw an additional +5 MND on an item that already has MND on it, or throw another Auto Refresh on, say, Morrigan's Robe.

Well, put Refresh on a head piece(if it's true) and RDM is no longer the only mage job that can get double Refresh, lol.

fuck, and i was holding off buying n.hands for a bit... bad move ._.

Don't despair, there's a CHANCE Angel Skins might be obtainable from the new ANNM's. Stay tuned to find out!

Still no info on how to add stats to items? New way of spending merits?

Found this also:

You may customize this item by selecting two augments from the following list

Your (Armor name) has been augmented with the attributes of your choice! It pulsates with arcane energy

If you ever wish to acquire a different reward item, you may do so by first discarding the item in your possession, then replaying the battlefield “Ode of Life Bestowing”

From this it sounds like the only way to augment items is from the final mission on the mini add-on, and that is the only item that will get augmented? Or what? Or is that a special item that you augment as well with more options?

And I don't see Auto Refresh etc. on that. So perhaps the earlier list was what you can augment non-reward items with?

edit: damn Nico beat me :p But in that case, wouldn't the reward items be somewhat useless if you can augment them more? Or do the rewards have awesome stats with augment stats that make them even more awesome?

That looks like the list for augments to the gear choices that comes with the expansion purchase whose names are escaping me right now

It was my understanding that these were the augments for the body rewards only.

Well, the mission reward bodies better have damn good stats to beat out the current bodies available to make them actually worthwhile.

Well, the mission reward bodies better have damn good stats to beat out the current bodies available to make them actually worthwhile.

old news uzor. the body stats are:

Nuevo Coselete
DEF:49 HP+20 STR+5 DEX+5 VIT+5
LV75 WAR, PLD, DRK, SAM, DRG

Mirke Wardecors
DEF:42 HP+10 MP+10 STR+5 DEX+5
AGI+5
LV75 MNK, THF, BST, RNG, NIN, BLU, COR, PUP, DNC

Royal Redingote
DEF:40 MP+20 INT+5 MND+5 CHR+5
LV75 WHM, BLM, RDM, BRD, SMN, SCH

Oh, didn't know those were the mission rewareds :p Well, makes them worse then current best bodies then. Well, suppose Mirke's decent at least.

Bg just crashed.

Oh, didn't know those were the mission rewareds :p Well, makes them worse then current best bodies then.

Depends on the job Uzor. These bodies are amzing for some jobs if you put the rigth attributes on them, and shitty for other jobs.

SE almost never completely obsoletes gear. Augments are probably only going to be put on end-of-scenario rewards and completely statless gear. People are getting ahead of themselves a bit ;P

SE loves to add more situationally good gear, or gear that's comparably good but not noticeably better than existing stuff, or gear that's good but requires a lot of hoops-jumping and time invested. They're not just going to hand over system-breaking augments to put on anything, it would ruin too much of the existing gear structure.

Nuevo's not good if you already have Adaberk. As I said, Mirke's good for DNC etc. The Royal one isn't very good either for most of the jobs that can use it.

I'm hoping you can put augment stats on rare/ex gear you already have. I'd love to put some INT on Morrigan Feet for example.
