But... but... but... people love to complain.
 
I love complaining just as much as the next man; but I don't spend more then 20 min on an online forum to complain about a 20 min install time. That's just stupid.

there are a million things a person could do with those twenty minutes besides log into a forum and complain about waiting 20 minutes.

The only reason why they install on the hard drive at all is because all blu ray players take forever just to load up a movie and sony's are by far the worst of all of them. The hard drive is just to make the load times bearable.
 
Just picked this up and installing it right now, i like the background music and since i haven't really played the other 3 games it was cool to get some back story. I didn't mind the load time, and it actually just finished and now i miss the music :( Gonna go rape some shit brb.
 
Some of the songs are really well remixed DDR songs. I found this out while killing the second boss. I laughed.

P.S. You better have bought that DMC4 from my store!

Seriously.. how stupid can people be complaining about a 20 minutes installation? I popped the disc in, install it, went to watch some TV and came back without even realizing it was 20 minutes.

The gameplay loading time? Nintendo NES-ish! I remembered playing DMC1~3 on PS2 and the loading time was horrible. I suppose with XboX360, the game somehow mimics the loading time of a PS2 too? Imagine, the total combination of loading time of a 360 during even scenes you have to go to would probably make up for more than 20 minutes! So what if I have to initially spend 20 minutes to make up less loading time for a throughout pleasent experience?

The loading on 360 has not been more then 4-5 seconds for me actually. And the only time i see it load is when you hit mission start... Again 4-5 seconds... People are maybe arguing about the wrong thing. The 20 minute installation would not be a problem if it benefits me or the gamer in any way. It is stupid when it does almost nothing... Makes load times about 1 second... So you install a game for 20 minutes to cut off 3 seconds per mission start? It should have been optional is what the problem is... Sony should have put a better BRD drive in the PS3 is what the other problem is. Its honestly stupid as hell you need to install a game just to tip it over the edge of the 360s DVD rom speed. What the fuck it the point... The game would have been the same without it...
 
I think that arguing about install time and a few seconds of loading time versus one installation or the other is pretty damn ridiculous. It's only worth considering for those of us with both systems, but only the people who only own one system care because they want to gloat. It's almost as bad as those screenshot comparisons where people try and debate which version looks more jaggy or washed out.

In the end of the day if I buy this game it'll be on the system that won't probably break. Not being able to play the game, that's actually a complaint worth talking about. The rest of this is just bullshit.
 
i dont want anyone to think im coming off as saying one is better than the other, i think they are identically great on both systems.
im not a ps3 owner, but if i was i would prefer an install time to be optional, No complaining or whining, just a reccomendation for games like this in the future for those out there who may not want to install, or just want to do it later.
i liked that option on the ps2.
yeah its a dumb thing to whine about the time on it, i can agree with that fully.
But having the option would be just as nice :)
 
Im upto mission 9 now and I must same the game is beast. Haven't played as Dante yet but nero is awesome. The only thing i don't like is the camera can be kind of weak at times but otherwise its all good.

Edit: When did PS3 get achievements? I've been unlocking some while going through and I'm assuming they are for when home comes but I've never seen em before.

A bunch of games have had them, they're half for Home, and half just have their own rewards system, like Uncharted
 
Well, I got this on Friday for PS3, started yesterday and finished at 1am this morning. It kicked ass. I'm now playing on the Devil Hunter difficulty and I'm having alot of fun still ^^

When I was playing the normal difficulty, I only needed to use 1 gold orb and that was as Dante while fighting that Jungle snake boss chick. After that, I breezed through the game.

I absolutely love the game. Gametrailers was right, this game could actually teach Hollywood a lesson in action =)
 
bought this yesterday after work. I just had the chance to install I'll be playing it this week. I hope it will be entertaning.
