Official FFXIV benchmark.

Why exactly did you choose 12 GB RAM? I think it would be a lot more beneficial with 4 or 6 gb of RAM and spend that extra money on a better graphic card >.O I mean, I have 6 GB of RAM and a 5870 and score 4700 on benchmark at 1080p

Because I got a good deal on the RAM and my monitor native resolution is 1680x1050, just shy from 1080p (1920x1080). After I get the game a better graphic card and/or monitor is necessary, then I'll make a purchase to replace those, not a big deal really.

I just recently built a new desktop computer. My laptop scored EXTREMELY low for this (like in the 20-30s) and plus it was time I got a new desktop anyways.

Specs:
Windows 7 Professional
Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.8 GHz x 4 CPUs (using Corsair liquid cooling system)
EVGA/nVidia GeForce GTS 250 Video Card - 512MB DDR3, PCI Express 2.0, DVI, HDMI, VGA. SLI Ready (connected to 1080p DVI Monitor @ 1980 x 1080 resolution)
RAM: 4GB SLI-Ready Dual Channel DDR3 Memory
750 GB HDD (computer rounds down to 698 :( ) on SATA

High quality benchmark score:

Low quality benchmark score:

I saw no lag for either one. Ran smoothly no hanging and no jumping in the picture when the camera was panning around or transistioning.

Ok, thanks. I have another surprise for you beta people with nVidia cards, here's how to make the game naturally support SLI rather than forcing it and get gimped SLI (That is, how you can make both GPU's work at 99% rather than 1 at 50% and 1 at 60% like it usually do if you force it):

Sadly, I bought a 5870, so I can't use that fix :p

This was a life saver for the beta. I went from 15-20 fps to 30-35 with this info. Thank you.

1920x1200 resolution mostly maxed out.

Edit: Turned off occlusion but kept on depth of field and I am now in the 40 fps. Looks nice.
