Here is from his point of view.


This guy shot me when I was just walking under the bridge, so I turned, jumped, and shot him right in the face. The video is alot cooler, but I dont wanna try to figure out how to get that on here.
 
I don't have any screenshots... yet, but I feel the need to express my love for this new and wondrous piece of art. I was so happy to see my old friend the assault rifle back in the fold. It's not the best gun, but it's reliable in a pinch. And it's not a waste of pixels like the POS battle rifle. I have also discovered the joy of dual spikers. And the hammer... oh the hammer... there are simply no words to tell just how wonderful it feels to jump into a pile of Brutes and send them all flying.

Letting me rip the gattling guns of their turrets and lug them around is one of the best things Bungie has ever done. Period. Just thinking about it makes me feel faint.

Stop shooting bodies and aim for the head. Don't zoom either. The BR is much more powerful than the AR it just takes a bit more skill to use properly. I agree about the turret guns as well. I enjoy free kills <3
 
The battle rifle is your best friend in medium range combat and even some close range. They just made it alot harder to 4 shot someone in multiplayer.
 
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Me, I hate the BR. I miss having a pistol for headshots. But I settle for a shotgun. >)

Oh it's there. It's slower, has no zoom, and lower bullet counts but works all the same. I have a love hate relationship with it right now. The slower rate of fire tends to be a problem when you come up on an AR junky who's expecting you to jump.
 
BR/AR is my fav weapon combo. 2 bursts from the ar to the head, finish em off with the ar. Either that or a shotty ;)
 
The more and more I use the Carbine the better I like it. That thing is a beast.

That too, i realized how amazing it was in campaign, then started using it online and it rapes.

At first I underestimated maulers. But lately i've been playing the the "1337" people, rank 45's and shit. And they all use these. They are like a shotgun that have more distance. Dual wield them, 1 shot from each and a beat down will kill em. And if they run, you can gun them down, unlike a shotgun can.

They are best at gaurdian, I dont see them being better than shotgun at most other maps.
 
actually one shot from a single and a beatdown works everyrtime, no need to dual wield unless you want a one shot kill!

also got my final three matchmaking achievements today, need two points ones for campaign and to access all terminals and ill have new armor unlocked and 1000 gamerpoints!
got overkill and steppin razor in the same game, and the following game got me maybe next time buddy!
 
Maybe next time buddy has been my bane. Same with the overkill. Getting all the terminals took all of 15 minutes. Some of the meta-game achievements are a pain in the butt to get too. I invited you to play the other day Chasym, but you didn't join. :sadface:

Been noticing, quite frequently over the last two days, people lunging like they have a sword or hammer when they are regularly meleeing with their weapon. What the hell is this bullshit?
 
I've been noticing this too. Its like a half assed version of the melee update they did for Halo2. I think its just when you are within a certain range you will lunge with a bash and do more damage. I've done melees that will just drop someone, and then the melees that will send them over the horizon.
 
its the same melee halo has always had, nothin new with melee lunge. just shortened the distance, much harder now.
also, latency plays a big factor.
Also i am 1000/1000 achievements now! got the katana
 
I definitly made that comment while going through that level trying to get the achievement. Its pretty spot on.
