Since I haven't seen one and search found nothing but "MAG Beta" threads starting one. Here's a review posted

Seems interesting. Tempted to get but I'm not sure if it's a Pay to Play monthly thing (bleh if so) and I haven't played FPSes much on console, was far more a PC FPS Gamer. Hmmm....

It doesn't require a monthly fee to play. I haven't spent much time with it, but despite bein' a MP shooter fan, especially a hardcore Battlefield fan, I just couldn't fall for it. My sentiments on it are that Zipper tried to create a bigger, better Battlefield game and failed miserably. With BC2 hittin' next month it makes it even more a no go for me, even if it was a decent game. Zipper needs to go back to what they're good at, makin' Socom, and release the Socom fans of their Slant 6 problem.

I guess I should mention, I didn't spend much time with it because I didn't like it. Not because of access issues.

I was very interested when I heard about this last E3. Its got some mid to good reviews avg. about a 7-8/10 and I've been tempted to get it. But I had a shit time with the Beta, could never get into a game, and although the 256 players is intriguing, the graphics just look shitty to me and I find the game play style of Modern Warfare more appealing. I played BF2 alot, and some Joint Ops (a 128 player game on the PC similar to mag but came out like 7 years ago or some shit) and although I do have some fun, I really have never been a fan of vehicles in a shooter and I always get pissed when you run a min or two to an objective just to die and do it all over again. I tried the BC2 demo on xbox and wasn't really impressed.

I'm with you Strid. Lets get Zipper back to making a full 100% complete SOCOM game of old, as in full single player, full online non laggy bullshit and a good game. I used to play SOCOM religiously back in middle school and was super psyched for Confrontation, but it was a pretty big let down.

Confrontation pissed me off so hard. Not only was it a piss poor rendition of Socom, but it didn't even work right half of the time. It may have been better had they put in a single player that way when the MP I spent $60 on kept goin' fubar I could at least play SOMETHING.

Gonna have to disagree with you on vehicles in MP shooters though :D When I see a tank in BF I don't think "Oh shit", my eyes light up like a kid in a candy factory. That's a mess of points waitin' to be had right there. Then again, I always spawn as a class that has anti-vehicle options. I love seein' this kind of kill feed:

Vehicle Damage +30
Vehicle Destroyed +100
XXMLGPROORAPEXXX <RPG 7> +50
iGoTfIngURnButT69 <RPG 7> +50
l33tSNip3r <RPG 7> +50

That's true, blowin up vehicles is fun. I liked runnin around as Spec Ops in BF2 and droppin C4 to rape shit as it drove by. But more often then not they piss me off. Even today on CoD, guy got a chopper gunner on Rust, Hardcore HQ and it was just fuckin ridiculous. I guess it depends on your play style, like I loved BF2 but all I ever played were city maps, mainly Strike at Karkand and in infantry mode so no vehicle.

Not only that, but I love the sniper physics in BF: BC. I'm liking them a lot more in the second game's demo right now too. The Apache with a good pilot and gunner can do some real damage to the enemy team fast. Can't get enough of this game, and it's only one map on a demo lol.

this kinda makes me want it more :) I like a game that's not "I" but "we." It's one reason I LOVED C&C: Renegade. Sure it had a lot of failings, but only when the team worked together did it truly dominated :3 though it did allow for players to sneak in and solo down buildings if they were good, but it was hard and not common and good players are always watching out for them anyways.

But ya, I think I might pick up MAG. Haven't gotten a game in awhile and I love a "we" game over a "me" game if it's a shooter and online.
