official maintenance thread - wotg

My EB opens in about an hour, I'll be picking it up then, should have installation done by the time main is over :P
 
Picked up my roommate's WoTG with him today, PC version for me and one of my other friends isn't in til Friday thanks to the holiday. Thanks a ton, SE, for releasing an expansion the day before Thanksgiving.

I'm going to try to unlock SCH and DNC on my roommate's system. I wonder if it'll be grayed out or if I'll break the game when I switch back to my PC. Lol.

No, it won't. If its not installed on the PC, it'll crash if you're in a WoTG area. If you're in, say, Valkurm Dunes, you can still play as SCH, even without the expansion installed, since its registered. All the WoTG media is in the ROM folder, except for WoTG areas and music.

I didn't say WoTG area. I meant access to the WoTG jobs. I know this is how it works for the areas. Clearly, I won't be able to play them without WoTG installed on my PC, but I'm wondering the exact method by which SE will keep me from playing them, that's all.
 
You can play WoTG jobs as long as you're not in a WoTG area, as you have it registered. So they won't be grayed out or anything.

hmm? there's no update today. At least not one atm <.<; I just checked
 
well, it's done CHECKING the files. One hour and five min til it's down downloading, then it needs to INSTALL them. Prob gonna be close to an hour and thirty minutes before it's done :(
