yes cause obviously me saying each system has its strengths and weaknesses is an obvious blatant fanboy. You are getting beyond any sort of logic anymore.
Let's break this down for you.. Simple facts.
Playstation has (as of now) more third party developers than any other console out right now
Nintendo's Wii controller allows the player to feel more part of the game
Playstation 3's system hardware is superior to that of the Nintendo's Wii.
People complained about the Xbox, Xbox 360, and PS2's prices when they were announced yet still they sold very well
Sony has been making their systems more multi-task than purely gaming where as Nintendo has focused only on gaming (nothing bad about that just simple as that)
All of you have decided to just look at the negatives of the PS3 which.. all you can find pretty much.. is to be the price. You all think the price of it is rediculous and just completely ignore inflation, blu-ray player prices as of now, and how the PS3 compares to these things. A Blu-Ray player is much more than $600 from what I've found. Inflation would lead one to believe that game prices would have already increased beyond the $50-60 it has been for the last several years. And you are all saying that the games will be $70-80 or even more as if it's already a known fact. What's really.. and I do mean this, really amusing is that the people that are only focusing on the negatives of Sony's system (and they are the same people that have always only focused on the negatives) are those that should be dubbed nintendo fanboys and even admit to it. A fanboy is a stupid thing to be because (in my opinion) they tend to be people that think so highly of one system (or hobby) they won't even acknowledge ANY positives of another system or even recognize where their system fails compared to the others. What makes it even more amusing is that I know for a fact most of you nintendo fanboys own and enjoy (because you've said so in the LS) a Playstation 2. I'm fairly sure most of you will buy a PS3 eventually (maybe even some right on release). I'll continue to be amused by those that harp so much on sony and yet still buy their systems and use them. You can go on with your negative campaign about sony (as well as microsoft obviously) and disregard any positive things about it just because of your blatant faboyism. Such a stupid thing. I, on the other hand, will go have fun with whatever system offers the most fun (and the most to choose from) at first and perhaps, at one point, enjoy the benefits each system has.
Yes, because I'm the one who refers to people as fanboys like it's some kind of racial slur; I'm the one who's ignoring everything that anyone else says that shows that sony is starting to decline at the "top dog" of the console market; that's right. Right here in this quote you're calling us fanboys and acting like we're lepers because we enjoy nintendo systems.
The thing is, that the
ONLY people who are discriminating against a console are the ones who discriminate against Nintendo. The Nintendo fans are practically forced to adopt a "nintedo > all" position because idiots like you can't seem to understand that maybe we like multiple consoles for different reasons. I own a PS2 and a Game Cube, but the only thing you see is "I own a Game Cube" which to you means I'm a Nintendo fanboy and therefore I must be retarded. Historically through the posts on this forum, the Nintendo "fanboys" have been by far the most tolerant of other consoles and their fans. We know people like Xbox and PS2, hell most of us have one of them as well, but there's NOTHING WRONG with owning a Nintendo system.
I like having a console with good games that I can play in front of my young cousins, but still have fun playing; hell they even play with me some times. I like Nintendo, I like Sony, I don't really care about Microsoft, but that's because I don't like their games(or lack of them) or I buy their games on PC. I've played all 3 consoles, I was planning on getting a PS3 and a Wii until this pricing info came out, now it's looking like I'm just getting a Wii because I don't have 800+ dollars laying around to spend on a video game console. If the price drops down to a more reasonable level, I'll buy it but for now I can't afford to spend that much money to play video games. I'm actually making an informed decision; not just bashing a console because the company decided to go for a different marketing strategy than throw more power at the user.
You're ignoring what other people have said to constantly preach that Sony > all, with nothing to back it up but old news. We all know Sony was top dog in the previous console generation, but it's not looking like Sony will do well for the next; we could be wrong but that'll only be known when all of the consoles are released. Just because you recently started saying "Nintendo has 1 good point about their new console" doesn't mean that you're not still discriminating against the fans of the company and it's console. Yeah Sony had the largest library of games, but there is no evidence whatsoever that the library won't move to 360 or Wii because of console sales and develepment prices.
Sony's PS3 is very impressive, the graphics are beautiful, but it's way too much fucking money. So I and more than likely hundreds of thousands of people like me will not be buying one at launch or until they drop the price to a more reasonable level. When the game developers see the actual sales figures, that and the higher cost/time of making the games they will likely switch over to designing games for the Xbox or the Wii; they might not but it's likely they will. Yes people will still buy the PS3, but not nearly as many as Sony is counting on, and the sole reason is the price. If you can't see that, then you're even worse than a brick wall; so shut the hell up already, fanboy.
