Windower Scripts/Macros Post (Howto) : http://www.windower.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1228&start=0

I'm interested in seeing if any other readers here on QCDN use the windower, and in particular the macros function. I'm a keen windower macro user, and have made what I feel to be one of the greatest BLM macro sets, which makes playing the job alot easier. I'd be keen to answer any questions on windower macros, including the basics and ideas to make your existing macros better.

Download my macro set here : Download

If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to ask/tell me :)

If anyone wish to have a serious discussion on the ethics of the windower and the macro uses, please feel free to raise any issues you may have in a sensible and non offensive way, any flamebaiting or personal threats will be deleted or moved onto the flameboard (into a separate thread)

Cheers,
Blabj

I use Windower, but I consider the macroes function rather useless xD

I mean, while yes, I can see how it can be usefull for switching equipment in and out, I can do the same thing with several normal macroes ^^;

I can do everything by typing //ThunderIV and the likes.
Ya, but changing equipment would take forever then ;p

Edit: Wait, //Thunder IV? So you type //Thunder IV and it activates the Thunder IV macro?

Well, I have an idea how you do it (didn't download your macro thingy), but I honestly never thought about that xD

Doing //thunderiv would echo "Thunder IV", start casting Thunder IV, equip all the appropriate gears, and if it was thundersday and you pressed Control + Alt + 6 and you had sorcerer's tonban, it'd equip those too.

And, if you typed //t4 it'd do the same thing :P

Fixed macro loading issues (you can execute more than one script at a time)
Aparently a few bug fixes to make the game run more smoothly.
Fixed controller support (Controllers will now control the main ffxi you're on, not the second window also - if you're dual boxing)

The job that benefits most is RDM. It allows you to streamline your maros so you don't have to hit multiple gear macros for one spell.
