Oh look, another new sig post

Well, even though I've been on an extended hiatus from FFXI, I was bored last night, and wanted to play around with Photoshop. Again. After a hour or two getting a number of poses, working around the less-than obvious (to me anyways) camera issues with AltanaView, I dumped everything into Photoshop, properly done this time. Each time I use it I learn new things, which is always nice. Anyways, after messing around with image resizing, font colour and outer/inner glows, I came up with this. And I do quite like it. Still contains the "this is what I am" plus my only original line, plus a new testament to the fact I can't hit the broad side of a barn, at point blank with a sword, hammer or otherwise.

Compared to my current sig below, which is similar. I was quite fond of the font as one can clearly see. I've replaced the old sig with the new one, therefore for comparison, the old sig can be found here: link to version 4.5 sig

I think your newer version looks better, the backround is more appealing than the first and the effects with the font look softer on the eyes.

The only thing i'm curious about, is that you say your target changes. But if the tank is the same in both cases, wouldn't the target (the tank) be the same? @_@

I think it means the whm has the tank targeted, the pld has the mob targeted.

Exactly actually. Thats the very reason I love that line so damn much. And it's the very *reason* I started making sigs for myself, which showed me (with the power of hindsight of course) that I was sorely lacking in Photoshop skills. Seriously, if you want to see the difference in skill from version 1 to 5, I've my old sigs posted on link to Sabia's wonderful sig gallery, page 27.
How I came up with the line however, I believe I was asked what jobs I played, and off the top of my head, that popped up. I typed it in party chat, got some laughs, realized it was great, wrote it down and didn't look back.

lol, I had to sit and think about for a few seconds the first time I read it as well. I took it as, when they are Whm they are curing the tank(someone else), and when they are Pld(tank) they are curing themselves. Different targets I guess, but maybe i'm wrong.

Oops, on topic: I like the newer version better. As Zerayla said the background looks better and so does the text. And the line is awesome. I've been trying to figure out a different one for myself. As blm and pld, I have to control hate in both cases, so I thought something like "Hate... It's all I know" but not sure.

The first looks like a regular blue skyish type bg...
