oh man! oh man! A new FFVII RPG GAME!

I was extremely cool with the movie, but after announcements for three new games based on FFVII, I got a little annoyed. The one with Vincent is called Dirge of Cerberus, or something like that. Supposively it's going to be sort of like Devil May Cry, or at least that's what they're saying about it. It's going to be the sequel to the sequel, or, the sequel to the movie.

Here's my opinion on what they're doing with FFVII...

I have my DS reserved, and I'll probably get a PSP in some far-flung day when I see a game I like and can squelch my feelings about the battery life rumors I've been hearing.

But my question to Square-Enix about all these FFVII games "Hey, where's the FFVIII love?" I didn't care much for Cloud, but Squall? *growl*

what>? FFX-2 ruled! Compared to alsmot anytother PS2 RPG right now, whatt has better graphics, better storyline and an awesome battle system? NONE. (maybe Dark CLoud 2) NO matter how "girly" it ws, the core game was amazing.

That game was 3 1/2 tons of balls. The story was shit....it was just an excuse to play pretty princess dress up with a bunch of skanks.
 
true, true. But what about the actual gameplay? The newly designed battle system? The lvling up? Al the things that make it worthy enough for the name FF. The core game itself is an awesome RPG.
 
the characters were annoying . . . I made it through the first chapter and the game has been sitting on a speaker ever since . . . and that's been at two houses . . .

X-2 is ass
 
i've never played FFX-2, hell i never played FFX, no playstation console [/cry] but i heard FFX-2 is shitty and it's aimed at the male gamers lol, yes Luna *Drool* anyways.............since i am a n00b at games [/sigh], may i ask what is DS and PSP ^^; It doesn't look like dreamcast, gamecube.
 
PSP is the new Portable Playstation put out by sony.

DS is a dual screen portable system put out by Nintendo with wireless link-up and a touch screen....Very kick ass
 
The Nintendo DS is in stores on November 21st for $150 USD. That's not bad when you think of how much the Game Boy Advance first debuted at (Around $100 USD, possibly more). Not sure if Sabia said this or not, but it also has backwards compatability with GBA games, but I don't believe older Game Boy games work, as far as I've heard.

The PSP probably still has a while to be released. I think of it as just Sony's attempt to take over another part of gaming (although I think the PS2's popularity is slowly dying). It will give Nintendo some decent competition in handheld gaming for once. I've heard rumors of it costing up to $300 for one (not sure exactly how much the price is at now). It runs on Sony's mini discs, and games are saved on Sony's memory sticks. I think there is supposed to be a release of the PSP in Japan sometime soon. I haven't been following it much anymore.

Oh, there is a Final Fantasy coming out for the DS. I looked at a list and it said Crystal Chronicles DS, although, I don't know what the game is (luckily, it's not the jillionth FFVII title to be announced, although I believe they're keeping the mainstream Final Fantasy games (FFVII-FFXII) with Sony).
