Long story short: Microsoft is checking out Google search results and putting the same results in to Bing. Really shady stuff, the author of the article believes it's probably not illegal since Google "hasn't lost anything". I would argue however that if Bing reaches a point of having the same search results as Google, there will be users who no longer prefer Google over Bing (strictly for better search results) and will switch to Bing, decreasing Google's revenue from ads clicked.

If this truly is the case, Google has nothing to worry about. They will always be one step ahead of Bing (since Bing is copying Google's search results).

I dunno, there were some changes a while back where Google tried to make itself look more like Bing. Then again everyone raised hell about it until Google changed stuff back.

Google is to the internet what Microsoft is to the desktop PC. I don't see Bing unseating Google unless they pull something truly phenomenal out of their ass.

Yea, but that was all visual. It didn't effect the search results.

I don't really care if they changed the look of it to Hello Kitty, as long as the search engine remains excellent.

The very brief glance I gave it didn't seem anything worse than the anti-competition lawsuit Microsoft had slapped against it, and they didn't suffer any real damage.
