Fuck yes! I remember when the first one came out and I was in like, 3rd grade lol. The ninja assassinations were so bad ass. Watchin the CS of your dude smoke like 3 dudes and then being like 'oh shit oh shit oh shit dont die dude!' as he creeps up on the general lol.

And the graphics in that CS look ridiculous. I remember how cutting edge the graphics were back in the day for the first one, the CGI CS at least, the battles weren't to bad either. Im stoked about this one.

Edit:

Here are the videos of the assassinations lol, so bad ass.

I'm interested. Funny enough, I've never heard of the original until now. Guess I'll go get it soon, it looks like fun =)

About time they finally make a new one. I'm hoping in this next version they include all the clans from the era, instead of only including like 5 (I think the original only had the Takeda, Oda, Mori, Uesegi, and a neutral clan that basically made up all the other clans, which is over 50 different clans). What made it worse was that they placed the clans in spots that they didn't really occupy, or atleast originally did not occupy.

If any of you are fans of Shogun: Total War, then I'd reccomend looking into the Nobunaga's Ambition series.
