What?....

Michigan vs USC in Rose Bowl and Florida vs Ohio in Champ game.

Ppl can say Michigan deserves to go, but you can't deny Florida had a tougher schedule. Most people say Michigan already had their chance it somone else should. Also, all the people bashing the computer systems, it was the human votes that determined who played in the champ game.

I for one am glad there is no rematch of OSU/Michigan. If OSU won again - they would clearly be the best, but if Michigan were to win - the championship would be split. "We beat you first" "We beat you second"

How bout that instant replay system!? Oregon Vs. OU... OU would be the ones playing or would atleast be in the run to play OSU if it weren't for that/those silly PAC10 Refs... >.> But i guess Big XII Champs is good enough...

Florida is going to get destroyed and so would Oklahoma. I think Michigan is better than both of them and should play OSU regardless if they have already. But that is the BCS for ya.

I dont think its a problem with the BCS, so much as the entire college football system. Even if this were 1990, pre-BCS, one team would be in, and one team would be out. I, like everybody else, think there should be a playoff system too. Not because the BCS fails, but because College football fails.

Any year that there isnt 2, and ONLY 2 undefeated teams, there will be controversy. Any and every one loss team feels that they should have a shot, and how do you pick between the SEC champ, and the Big Ten team that only lost to the #1 team in the country?

Let them fucking play it out on the field...

Ninja: I dont know why i said Big 12 and not Big 10, it was late...

I'm just glad USC was defeated. At least from my longhorn point of view.

Considering the SEC is the toughest confrence in college football, schedule wise, I'd say it's an easy decision. Also, at the mid season point, I started reading some articles about the BCS system turning into a playoff system within the next five years. Hopefully it happens.

As per my thoughts on the game. I don't think Ohio State has played a tough team this year, aside from Michigan. It's going to be good to see them have to play a good team for the second time this year.

Whoever said OU should play is retarded. Texas stomped em earlier in the year, and since Texas lost 2 games that CLEARLY shows that OU is that bad.

Linear logic ftw?

Being a Michigan fan (from the state, went to the school >.<) part of me is dissapointed that they did not go to the championship game. But, seeing that they already did have a shot at OSU I believe that Flordia does have the right to go to this game. Its pretty amazing that BCS made both #2 and #3 equal (in which case AP poll chooses the winner). I think that if the season would have played out differently perhaps Michigan would have gone. For example, if Michigan would have played OSU earlier in the year or if they had a title game like Flordia did. Not playing the last 2 weeks like Flordia did really hurt U of M. Either way, grats to Flordia, and good luck playing OSU.

The Michigan fan in me wants to see OSU go down, but the Big 10 fan says gogo OSU.

I'd still put my gil down on OSU for the win though. Flordia has a pretty strong defense, but OSU's quarterback is pretty good, they also have a quick defense and a team that has shown they can win all year.

i always love watching the north and south matchups. up until 96, i lived in michigan and was a hardcore u of m fan. until 2000 i stayed a U of M fan until i moved to florida. then i became a FSU fan. im not gonna take anything away from u of m or osu but since i had lived in florida, i had noticed that the florida teams play a balls out game. alot of, all or nothing plays. they air the ball alot and have alot of strong running plays. the northern schools play too conservative. this can either hurt or help osu. osu will do quite a bit of running and short or medium length throws. florida will run and throw mid or long field throws. osu isnt used to having to cover those kind of offenses. not saying they wont be able to, but they will have to do it more often than they normally do in just this one game.

Florida is the most exciting team to watch in college football, period. Tim Tebow is an awesome gaget/runnning QB that can make that exciting play that just makes you go "Wow!" (like the jump pass against Auburn i think it was, i forget, or the double reverse TD pass that was set up by running Tebow left 4 times before). They take chances, like the fake punt this week, and leave it all on the field.

I dont think Florida is better than OSU, but if they play their game and get a little lucky, they can defnately win this game.

To think, we only have 5 more weeks to discuss this...

Yet texas lost to 2 teams (A&M and KSU) and almost got beat by 2 teams ( TT and Nebraska) that OU either beat, or would have beaten hands down. If the whole oregon incident wouldn't have happened, Texas vs. OU would have definately been a better game with OU comming out on top, no doubt. Heck, if AD would have broke his collar bone pre Texas, it sure as hell would a been a whole diff ball game, cause that's really all OU relied on was his running game. Now paul thompson has stepped up and became the QB i knew he was and the back-up HBs Brown and Patrick are pretty salty as well. I never said they would have been in the BCS Championship, i said they would have been in the run for it.

That's all well and good except Florida doesn't have a kicker...

I say Ohio State.

I would have loved to see another Mich. VS. OS though. Its hard to say who deserved to face OS more, I am a biased Big Ten fan though.

More importantly ND vs. LSU!!

Gotcha, i was just being dramatic. I still dont think OU can knock off Texas, even after the 2 losses. I just wish Colt was a bit better, something along the line of Vince Young good

I'm a florida fan and if Chris Leak does not make his usual mistakes theres no team in the country that can cover his passes or Florida's WR's. And from Florida's RB attack 1 person comes in mind Percy Harvin, MVP of SEC Championship, who made the Piglet's Defense look like they were standing still. Its gonna be a good game. OSU is a good team too Troy Smith is an amazing QB, but dont fool yourselves in thinking that OSU is gonna blow UF out of the water cause it won't happen.

Personally I'm not even going to watch the championship game. Ohio State should slaughter Florida.

I'm going to sit back with a big bowl of popcorn and watch LSU stomp an overrated Notre Dame team into the ground.
