Well.. this is my first time starting a flame (ya-hoo) and it's not about anyone in general.. but I'm getting on my last nerve with people coming out to exp pts w/o oils or powders..
I have two ways of looking at this both from the eyes of a mage and melee.
An example today, I was in Crawler's Nest down past rumble room. Everyone had powders and oils but our dark knight. Our white mage kept running back into main hall sneaking him until his wore while we all waited in camp. Now, I can excuse the fact that it wore at a horrible time and location, but anyways, he died right in the middle of rumble room in a fun little circle made up of about four rumble crawlers. I have not had a party in about a month where we have all gotten down to rumble room without a single death. Two people died in my party today, the dark knight being one and our paladin (who had oils so she's cool ^_^) I have no problem buying or snything oils and powders. Being a high lvl alchemist I can HQ these pretty easily.
As a mage however I find it a little annoying when I have to keep risking both my life and threatening the party by killing my buffs so I can rebuff another whose lost theres. Now, I am not a stuck up mage who will deny people sneaks and inivis. Sure, I will question why you don't have them and be a little peeved. I know, as a white mage, it's my responsiblity to keep everyone safe. It slows up time getting to camp and like I said, opens all kinds of doors to all sorts of fun aggro. However, I do not mind at all when my party first sets out in aggro-land that I give them the first buff. Yet, when the train starts a movin' I wanna keep it that way. I hate feeling obligated however to sneak/invis though. Mages have any thoughts on this? I find that oils and powders are just as important as brining food to your exp.. the point is, you don't leave town without them.
