Now Q, you missed my point. And although this is the flame board, I'm honestly not flaming you. "It's a drop in the bucket"-- is easy to say when you are already a very acomplished player. To some 10 mil is a drop in the bucket also, but that would not hold true for everyone.

Do I feel I worked hard to obtain my WHM AF? Honestly, I'd say I worked a lot harder obtaining that then I did obtaining my SMN AF. Even tho, by game mechanics alone, SMN AF is harder. The majority of us did this via the community-- as there were so many others who needed AF to team up with.

I solo'd or duo'd the majority of SMN AF stuff. Do I expect you to honestly stop what you are doing to help anyone who asks for it? No, of course not. But understand that what we've come to learn was not always in the game-guide that came with our discs. There is an estimated % of new players that will be joining this game within the coming release-- too bad it's too hard to tell which one of the ? players are mules and not actual new players.

You expect this person coming into your party to have all of the tools needed to exp by the current standerds, and I understand completely. And it might've been my dyselxia kicking in, but I thought you meant he was like 56.

Question 2: Would you ever stop to help this person if they would boldly ask you for help with their AF quests? The reason that I ask is because I know that I could not solo my WHM AF. I know that my gear was not great. I often needed a lot more help because whm's are notorious for being poor farmers and I might not have been as aware of what things were good for making gil.

During this time I also would cast sneak and invisible on the majority of my party members as only the "rich guys" had oils and powders. Mithkabobs were also a lot cheaper during this time, as was other foods.

I am generally not compassionate to a total lack of effort, but sometimes we don't give people the benifit on the doubt on whether or not they're simply ignorant of their options. -- I am curious on whether or not the guy seriously could become better with help or even advice on not only that he should be out farming.. but perhaps a bit of advice on what to farm or where to go for help on getting his AF done. Though, I know most players don't want to shoulder the burden.. but, I will actually see if I can find him in game.

So your saying... because there new and don't have any sence a level 65ish NIN -which I'mma say if there "new" and at 65 there nothing but level whores- can come out to a party and say, "I'm sorry I didn't have nuff gilorz to buyz muh Shiehei." or a RDM, "Sorry, I was too busy being a dumb shit level whore and never farmed and got Dispel." Sorry, but I don't agree with you. Should always make time to farm or earn money in some degree.
 
All in all the point should be if you TRIED to get gil to get things you'd be fine. Gil is easy to make if you put the TIME required into it. Crafting time, farming time, hell just drive by gob shooting time.

There is a lvl 30 blm in my social LS that farms Sheep skins for 1k a pop. Sub THF and you can make 200k an hour farming sheep. Crafters are lazy, they don't wanna farm thats why they craft.

Playing devil's advocate here.... doesn't cut it. People only learn of their falicies if someone points them out to them. Not having money for a chocobo anymore is unexcusable. Hell, I've only seen it once over 1k now and that's at Mea where I used to pay 7-8k -.-

This whole flame goes back to what I keep saying about Quetzl.... its become a selfish server... and its all about me me me me me help me give me gil xp me.... I can't wait until Karma kills those types....

To those of you who put your time and efforts into your prided jobs I say Bravo!

PS To whoever says you can level whm naked and get away with it I say =P. You atleast should have your starting gear >.> And for the record I tell parties I'm a gimped whm before they invite... but everyone says Skill > Gear when it comes to mage jobs. I dunno, but I feel I have to have the best... so that's what I go for... its a pride thing... even if other whms give us bad names.

I'm gonna go ahead and say other servers are far worse. Nothing negative goes on here that isn't way over done on any of the other servers as well. And thats saying something considering we were one of the first up.

Yes-- just because -you- think that something is the way things should be done does not mean I do. I think it is pretty fucking retarded when people are so self absorbed into other people's gear and gil that they refuse to realize this is a fucking game. I'm sorry that I do have the same elitest ideals that you might have. I am sorry that I find flaws in a system you and your elitest chronies might've thought was great. You said you were playing devils advocate, that generally means you don't necessarily believe what you are saying, rather taking the opossing side just to take it. So, are you just speaking your damn mind, or playing devils advocate? The fact is, by lvl 50+ if you can't afford food, you have to be one of the dumbest people to have ever graced this earth.

It always cracks me up when people say they aren't elitist, but still work hard for nicer gear. If you hit 75, why play your job anymore? Answer: to get better gear for it. Well, happen to be of the mind that thinks if you can get to 75 and start getting nice gear, why not hold up at the level you can equip it and get it?

Why do PLDs wait till 70+ to get a Jelly ring? Makes no sense to me. It is a free item that isn't too hard of a camp. Why do some BLMs wait till lvl 60+ for Moldavite earring? Why do these gimp ass people don't have food at lvl 50+?

Answers: they are lazy, they are the type of player who will whore themselves to 75 then start making gil. There are plenty of people who post here that did it, now people look at them and think how cool they are cause they have all the tight gear. But they couldn't make 2mil in 2 weeks if they had to do it solo.

Ya, you could give the guy a sushi, but what is that going to teach him? He should have learned about food on his way through qufim, and by kazham he should of been using food through most parties (I understand running out of food at these levels)

People want elite gear, but say they don't need it, but make a big ass deal about getting it when they finally do. Makes no sense to me.

Halif is my real life friend, and should be looked upon of what should be expected. He fished for like 2 months to buy his nobles tunic, then continue lvling. I'm not saying all whm should do this, but saying in general that he is a role model to what my point is. Do I have a problem with people waiting till 75 to start gearing up their jobs, you're damn right I do.

Yeah, I was merely commenting on his choise to specifically represent Quetz that way. Sometimes its important to realize how good you have it when things could and have shown to be far worse in your alternatives.

Anyways I agree Q, right now im holding off all lvling till I get my Ohat, Dune Boots, and Asuran Fists. I haven't pty'd with a complete gimp in quite awhile (thank God) but next time I do and I've got lead, you bet your ass they'll be getting the boot from me.

Look on the bright side tho, if you're a flaming gimp at least people won't call you a gil buyer.
