For about a week now I've been trying to remember the name of a very old cartoon movie. I can only remember that it's about a kid in a dream land and something tries to take over. He gets some weapon and says "Banana Pajama" when using the weapon a lot, I think. Or something similar.

This is really starting to bug me. I used to watch it all the time as a kid and I can't remember the fucking name. Anyone got any ideas?

Hmmm...
Could be Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland?

It is, thank you ^^ Man, all my guesses were way off too <_<

You're welcome. hehe.

Haha XD I had same problem about this movie a while back. <,< I watched it all time when I was younger...

There's test footage floating around from when Miyazaki was going to make a Little Nemo movie. Makes me wish he had.

ok, while this topic is open, there is a movie that I too remember from my younger days, although I don't remember much about it at all.

If any of you can help me with this, I'll be your best freakin' friend ever.

All I remember of the movie was this one scene where this like...orb-looking dude with a big face (I think it was this olive color and the thing was relatively big; like maybe 2 full-grown humans in diameter) would come out of this cement hole in the ground. If I recall, the thing had a face kinda like the Rock Eater in "The NeverEnding Story".

Any ideas? Vague, I know, but dammit I would love to see the movie again.

It was safe for kids, since I remember seeing it on the Disney Channel when I was like....6-8 years old.

Flight of the Navigator?

Could be the sequal to 'The NeverEnding Story'?

I don't think it was this, I don't remember the character in question being in FOTN. Also, the Phaelon saucer was the shit.

Could be the sequal to 'The NeverEnding Story'?
No, I DEFINITELY know it wasn't this movie, since The NeverEnding Story II came out way after the film I'm looking for.

Well, I *think* it's a Disney movie, primarily because I saw it on the Disney channel in the 1980s (when they ONLY showed Disney or Touchstone-produced films).

You don't remember anything about it other than that one character? Any other details would help me - plot, character, setting, anything.

Truth be told, I don't have a LOT to go on more than that one character :\

I know there were some children involved, I think it was set on like a different planet, I think the planet was in some sort of trouble and the creature I described was pivotal in its survival, and I think that the movie kinda had that Jim Henson/Brian Froud feel to it.

Was definitely a live-action film, was definitely made in the early-mid 1980s, and the creature I described was like a big, kinda orbish planetoid thing that had warts, was greenish-brown, had a face (like a human face), I think it had like eyes kinda like Jabba the Hutt (shiny eyes) and I don't rightly recall if it spoke or not.

If anything else comes back to me, I'll post more as it does, and I can even almost draw a picture of the character from memory :|

The Dark Crystal? Nah. If you're a Froud/Henson fan you'd know about that movie easy.

Yeah, and Stine and I saw that film right before we started dating, and that wasn't it.

Definitely out:

-Labyrinth
-The Dark Crystal

The Last Starfighter?

He's much smaller than you mentioned so probably not.
