Old Schoolers lolol

Day 1. Mizter;;

I've played since the PS2 release, so by some accounts here, I'm a noob. ;)

If you're considering coming back, don't let the noob factor keep you out. There's lots of good people doing lots of good things. And you can party with me! I got a "Reverse PLD" I've been dying to level (that's WHM/WAR to you non-noobs, RESPEKT MY MP POOL!!!).

Still here, still doing everything I can to not pt.

I've been playing since the day i started and i'm still here.

I remember you when i first starting playing which was about 1.5 years ago

your name always made me lol welcome back

to add to the other convo the way I see it with lowbie pts as this

The more you care about a job the better your gear is no bad gear doesnt make a bad player but it does hurt their image when they say "I'm taking this job to 75" 50% of the time with people with bad gear are either just bandwagoners or badplayers or a mix of both. I still remember when I invited a blm that nuked with a pilgrim's wand @ 57....

Thats a hypocritical statment from a lolgimp but it just seems that way to me so far

Gotta agree with Khidir...saying "having bad gear doesn't make you bad at your job" just contradicts itself. Very few jobs have anything remotely expensive pre-SH/Haub (only thing that even comes to mind is OKote); on the contrary, most stuff if obscenely cheap compared to some very easy farm items. Most of the average armor for jobs, if they settle for NQ, seems to cap at 15k NQ, 60k HQ. If they can't even afford that it's absolutely their own fault.

I've heard how Vets "half ass their dunes gear and won't wear anything serious til higher levels"...which then thing is, even more not-'veterans' do the same thing, usually worse in many cases. If I goto Dunes and see another L12 WAR with an Onion Sword and full Bronze on I'm gonna puke.

I started playing during NA release for about 8 months, and then cancelled my account. I picked it back up about a year and a couple months ago. The biggest problem I see with players, regardless of their newb status, is that they rush through everything as though it's a race to get to 75. Meanwhile, they end up sucking at their jobs because they don't take the time to refine their skills with the job; they just roll through. I'm not saying I'm innocent, but I am saying that it's relatively depressing to see people actually make it past genkai 1 and still not understand their role in a party. With each level limit they pass, an angel gets ass-tagged by a demon. Keep that on your conscience, for those of you who helped. Kid Icarus got raped by Father O'Malley.

Day 1 NA PC release here also. Still remember I skipped a college math exam to play this game on release, good times. Haven't played in months though, my account is still active though. Got nothing against FFXI, but there's so many good console games right now, I just can't see a reason to log on. Maybe once I beat a couple of them I'll start playing again, but the WoW expansion is soon, so who knows.

Damn, day 1 and I'm not even level 50 yet, I won't reach the 75 cap till 2040 at this rate....

lol ill sit there n tell noobs how to play right so my party works the right way like NOOB DO YOUR FUCKIN JOB

the questionis: do veteran player know how to play the game? It not even certain.
Do they know the good way to play the game? i disagree with this. Lokk for example at merits where only a handfull of jobs can get a PT. If playing the game good is inviting only lolwars then i have to disagree.

If new player want to pt in dunes until lv25 w/o sj thats their choice they play the game like they want. I dont see why we have to pt in khazam at level 23, why we have to go to quifm, to nest etc. Personally when i started i enjoyed the game the way i wanted, exploring the world further as i got levelups, started pt in shakrami/buburimu 10-18, 3 man noobs pt, and that was a lot fun. Lv18 noobs alliance to get sj items in mhaura, was fun killing bogys. I soloed until lv 33 thf as thf33/whm7 lmao and that was very fun, doing lot of gils otw.
