I worked customer service (more specifically, retail) for most of my early years of employment. I've been called things by mothers with 2-year-olds by their side that you'd rarely hear in the saltiest movies. I've been threatened with lawyers, told multiple times that someone would 'have my job,' and more racial slurs than anyone would expect to hear in a quiet suburb. These are all things I've taken in stride.
True....very very true....customer service can be harsh. But most people just dont like being wrong.
I work at EB Games and you have 2 days to pick up your game, if you wait longer than that they have the right to sell it, it is stated on your slip.
True again. Its in bold letters too I believe.
People who think they're 'entitled' to a game store holding their preorder for almost a week when non-preorders are sold out and there are people inside the store willing to take that copy off their hands so they can get restocked, and then (and this is the important part) feel justified in causing property damage for four times the cost of the game because they couldn't get it NOW is a fucking worthless, spoiled brat. I preordered ToAU. 2 copies, in fact. I had no problem getting either copy because I was there Tuesday evening. If I wanted to wait until Friday to pick it up I would have known that's running a calculated risk of having my preorder sold. And even if I'd shown up Tuesday and they said "oops, we sold your preorder/didn't get enough to cover POs/whatever" I wouldn't have caused property damage, I would have asked the clerks to see if any of the other stores in reasonable driving distance could honor that preorder.
If you're going to act like a stupid pile of shit when you don't get your way, just take care of all your gaming transactions online so the rest of the world can have even less to do with you.
CubsWoo hits Ardougne for 9999 damage.
Ardougne is defeated by CubsWoo.
