Silent Oils have never been 30k a stack in the past months... SLIME OIL, yes, that's it's price. Silent Oils range from 17-24k a stack (24k, never charge that much, anybody who buys for that it nuts).

I should know, I crank out hundreds of those bitches every day. :D

I was the only member with the spells sneak and invis and do you know that EVERYONE in that party expected me to sneak them. I cast sneak on everyone... Well what the hell do you know...I just finish casting sneak on myself and one of the first says "Sneak is wearing already". I say "Really?...well that's what happens when you have to sneak 6 people". So when you think it's no big deal for the mage to sneak you through a zone...please consider there may be 4 other idiots thinking the same damn thing.
 
I couldn't agree more. As a melee I never expect mages to S/I me. I am very appreciative if they do though.

I don't even have a high level character, but I have no less than 4 stacks of oils and powders in my mh most of the time. It's just one of those things you need.

If I see them somewhere for cheap I buy them, whether I need them now or not, because I know I will need them eventually.

i have the comment on this. just because you take your time and power level people all day, when you could be xping yourself, your making the nOObs of tomorrow. power leveling makes shitty players, not the players that just keep xping. they are at least earning the time in there job. OMGONOZ i started lvling blm 2 months ago at 33 now i'm 72 almost 73 PLEASE CALL ME A NOOB NO ONE PLAY WITH ME. why? cause you can't do it? cause you choose to not do it? everyone has there own choices. you introduce more nOObs to our world then someone that lvls fast w/out a PL mr 75 PL

Buy your damn OILS AND POWDERS, yes 22k 30k whatever they are at is a lot. if you dont like the price, do the craft your self and make them. dont ask me for a sneak or vis, cause i'll either leave your ass where you stand or kick you and get someone else (since i'm usually leader). when i play any of my characters, i've always got oils and powders on me. if i ask for help with something, i supply everyone that helps me with oils and powders. No excuess you cheap ass melee, WAA you say melee cost more then mages, lets not go there i'll just say on my thf i dont believe in leaving town w/out sneak oils and and vis tools.

I think every mage who can sneak/invis has been there before, Kiere, and none of us like it. More importantly, its dangerous for both the party and the mage - if you are in an area where you all need it to begin with, it's a virtual certainty some one or more persons will get unwanted aggro in an awkward spot. And if I'm trying to look after five other people, the odds are I won't be able to do it well, much less look after myself.

Seriously tho, all respect given to mages, but there are circumstances where altho its not your "Job" to sneak someone, it does lend quite the helping hand. Altho people seem to have money to burn these days, tossing it on a stack of oils daily isn't imo the best way to spend your gilz. I understand where priest is comin from on this, be prepared, have oils, etc etc etc...but if u have the ability to snk for free, help your party out. Im not gonna ask empy for a snk in the middle of 10 dec weaps, but still, if you're close, help eachother out, make luv not war =)

And like one little power level per person for a level is really making the noobs of today. It's spoiled people who get power levels every time they're online, then buy gil and stuff.

So what if I'm wrong about the silent oils? Oh no's! I was off by like 6,000g! Anyway, um... Back to the Delite thing... the only people who were witness to the supposed "MPK" thing agreed with me when I asked them that day. Not saying 6/7 people make it right, but you shouldn't judge me just because your friend said I'm a noob.
 
Funny sneak story . . . I was in CN last week with Rappa, we were going to the far back area to duo XP our BSTs. I come around the bend right before where the scorpion is that marks the beginning of aggro area, and I see this guy standing there. He's wearing mid 40's to 50 WAR type gear, but is /anon so I just shrug and continue on my way. I sneak up and run past the scorp. About 20 seconds later I get a /tell from this anon guy: "me 2 plz". I'm like, wtf? First off, I'm busy going to xp. Second, BST doesn't exactly have a huge MP pool to be playing around with. And third, I don't even know this guy, nor have any connection to him whatsoever. So I shoot back a quick tell just saying that he'd have to be in my party for me to sneak him, and I'm running to an xp camp and thus busy, go buy oils.

Now, here's where it got funny. Apparently he just assumed that I'd be his sneak whore, and started following me. Past the scorpion and about a dozen aggroing Soldier crawlers. Which he then wanted me and Rappa to save him from. Poor dead n00b, at least I had the courtesy not to point and laugh at his corpse (though I'll admit I was tempted, heh).

Buy your oils and powders people. Everyone has to do it, even us mages.

Fellina is so right....I started as BLM/WHM and I HATED buying my first Silent Oils but you've got to take responsibility for your own supplies and needs. Nobody needs to be stuck with babysitting someone else when that person is perfectly able to take care of themselves. I've escorted people from each of the 3 cities to Jeuno for their first time and those people I will cover because they're just starting and for the most part need the help...but NOBODY needs a 30+ level character coming prepared only with the assumption you will take care of all their needs. This proves what we all know "Power-leveling makes for weak players". Thank you.
 
I always have a stack of Oils and Powders on me... but I'm good enough with my spells to use the spells only when it's safe. That includes being in a safe spot, AND no magic-aggroing monsters within sight range.
