This wasn't a one-shot thing, the seller knew full well that Seveath was trying to scam them, and carried through anyway. I don't really think he deserves a free 40 million gil (does anyone?), but the seller deserved it less.

Secondly whoever compared the thing about raping a Nazis wife to stealing from a RMT is a retard, and obviously failed at analogies. There is a level or removal involved with the Nazi's wife that is not there. Now raping a Nazi would be a much more suitable comparison. Now to further expunge on this idea of proper analogies, one is theft, and petty theft at that because the item is only valued at a couple hundred American dollars. Grand theft would be over 500 (I think, not particularly sure if it changes upon region).

Realistically what he did does nothing to truly hurt the gil sellers, they have a sheer volume that can not be comprehended easily. They supposedly (I say supposedly cause SE lies worse then a middle school kid caught not doing his HW) deleted almost 200 billion gil from the mules of these people who do there best to ruin the game for others. Yet after the 200 billion we did not see all the gil sellers lined up and shot. So, 35 million, barely a drop in the bucket when you compare it to the numbers they work with. And you want to compare it to rape… The real victory here is a moral victory of sticking it to those who do NOT and I repeat NOT play this game, but to those who sit there and supervise macros at work. Let’s go over the last sentence one more time for the stupider people who think they know what’s going on. They are NOT PLAYING, they are at work, and even then they have macros to do most of the work for them, it saves on the cost of labor.

As for the people arguing with Shaunessy, give it up, really. Logic and that kid is a square peg in a round hole. He thinks he is a good SAM, he truly does. No amount of arguing on your part no matter how right you are will change the opinion of someone that stubborn. He thinks his 60% or less acc rate is hot shit. No matter that a “good” SAM can pull off an 80% and an “amazing” can pull off a 90%. He does not and will not see that the strength of the SAM is the Weapon skill. In order to pull of WSs you need TP, and therefore ACC is your lifeblood. And to all the SAMs who bitch about low dmg WSs cause they do not have +STR gear, guess what, you do an equip macro.

Oh and comparing a game like Eve to a game like FF is another stretch, it does not have an actively traded in game currency to $ system. So again, your analogy fails the test of logic. But hey, square peg, round hole.

Let's say they aren't gilsellers. Okay. Does it change what they've done to the server? no. Does it change how many times they've MPKed us, stolen NMs from us, monopolized things, botted, used speed hacks, and teleported? no... Does it change the viewpoint of other people on what they've done? Possibly, but if it changes it at all it'll probably be worse considering they won't have the "oh those guys are just gilsellers" point of view to back their actions up.

You can try to cover their asses all you want, but it won't change what people think of them, and ironically enough, you.

Also, if this keeps up it'll just get moved to the flameboard and will become an all out war on Shaunessy, he'll get a bad reputation, become a troll, possibly banned, etc.. Let's stop the flame.

Ok, here goes...

For the past few days, the RMT have been shouting selling various items, such as Kraken Club, Striders, and Anmity Cape. As of about 2 weeks ago i got a Mercurial Kris. So, my good friend Neogearzx gives me this idea... See if u can get them to trade and item for hte kris, BUT give them a regular kris instead...
I think for a while, then decide ill give it a try. I bug them for about 2-3 days, tying to get them to trade straight up for an item. They want my kris + 10M, so i say no and {See you again!}. They reply lowering the 10M to 7M. I say no and log off. The next day it's a different gil seller, same story. Finally on the 3rd day, i get a tell from Arise, saying " Trade Mercurial Kris > Anmity Cape." I figure since they want straight up trade ill go for it, so i give it a shot. I go through a few cancel trades, comlaining about lag, and letting him see the Kris. I swicht it w/ the crappy Kris, and she cancels it. i do this about 2-3 times, then i finally put hte merc kris up, let them put the cape up, wait a second, then i quickly switched it with the crappy one, they're name goes red and I FREAK OUT! Traded and fucked them over! Damn that was such a rush. I cant even believe it worked, but it did. Serves the bastards right.
