A.) You watch too much news.
B.) Most of that research is completely inconclusive.
C.) The only thing stopping most people is a little thing called comon sense
D.) Anyone who tells you video games lead them to violence had shitty parents.
As we all know good thieves get that way by announcing the fact to their potential victims. I mean no insult, but as far as logic goes that dog won't hunt.
A* or maybe you just watch too little news
B* much of the studies done over the past 5-7 years are from reputable universities, educators, and research groups. i'm thinking they have some clue in making their assessments. but really, how is research truly going to reach the level of being "conclusive" in that issue? people are just going to have to use common sense and judgment to see that.
C* no, it's not. only thing stopping those with the mindset to kill another human being is generally either the fear of being caught, fear of being shamed, fear of going to jail, or the fear of being roasted on a metal chair.
D* say what you will...think what you like. however, to deny that certain things can drive a person to act is being utterly blind. don't get me wrong, i blame most if not all of the cause on the parents for not being involved enuff to preempt the stupidity of their children....however, whethor or not they do, it doesn't negate the fact that objects, material, and media can have a dramatic influence on people. (examples: bibles, educational books, etc.)
i take no offense at your opinion...you are free to make them. as i am free to make my opinion that the OP didn't do this to better the community...but to stuff 40mil into his pockets. and to me, someone that would do that, will more than likely do it again when he has the opportunity to do so and find a way to justify it. then again, as we've seen from the recent thievery in sky, "justification" may not even be given a thought.
