Ok to start off I /slap people and I /slap alot of people. Most of them deserve it and others not so much. But yesterday I guess I missed something when I slapped this idiot because apparently /slap'ing him destroyed his pride or soemthing?

To begin with I spent the night trying to level drk in Kazam and it didn't go too well. I had 2 friends with me and we started our own party but it was next to impossible to find a whm and a 6th member, not to mention people who use food. :( Well needless to say the party wasn't all that great and after one of my friends left, we disbanded shortly thereafter. Well me and my friend knowing that it would be hard to start a new party decided we could skill up her Great Axe since she was a warrior and her skill was very low. I changed to whm and tele'd to dem where we leveled a bit.

Once she got around level 25 axe skill we decided to move onto the dunes. Now this is when my trouble started (and no this is not a dunes rant). Just outside dunes in the konschat's zone we spotted a bunch of players probably zoning from agro. My friend, whoes judgement I trust, said "omg its that ass." Well I have never met the person and didn't really care too much, but upon him spotting us, made it known that my friend was already on his blacklist. Again my friend making it known he disliked this person asked me to /slap him. I not knowing whether he was really an ass or not (not really caring since its just an emote) decided to /slap him. I did but as I did it he zoned just in time to for me and my friend to see the emote but he probably did not. Well since more people started zoning out I figured this would be a good opportunity to kill unwanted agro with getting anyone upset about stealing mobs and we both zoned in Dunes.

At this point our friend who had left earlier had now logged back on and I had reinvited her to the party. So once again I see the jerk my friend had mentioned and she tells me to "/slap that asshole" once again and I did so. Well oh my fucking god she was right, he was and is the biggest bitch EVER! Let me just explain the events from his perspective:

Noob Ass 1: OMG no I have been slapped. How can I go on living, my life and honor has been destroyed. /sobs like a baby

Noob Ass 2: oh no this is terrible, I must do something to protect you from this travisty(sp?) of justice. How can this mean mithra whm do so much damage to my poor fellow ls member.

Noob Ass 1: Save me number 2 /cries into his arms, come protect and show this mithra what us morons do best: Act like a total dipshit cuz of some little thing because unlike the rest of the world there is nothing more important we can do!

Noob Ass 2: I have a great plan!
*Noob Ass 2 shouts in Jueno /shout Lavi she is quitting and is giving away lots of free stuff!* *Tell ls to send annoying tells*
Noob Ass 2: There I have salvaged your dignity by acting like a total asshat! HAHA! I've shown her! (Cackles in the crappy evil laugh)

Noob Ass 1: Thank you my hero!!! Now come save me, she might try to kill me with her super duper whm spells like cure and raise.

Noob Ass 2: /shudders at the thought

As a consequence of this I get spammed by a dozen or so people wondering if I cna give them free sniper rings (btw no one gives them out free to strangers not to mention my whm REALLY needs a pair of those too....) and some friends worried I am quitting which really pissed me off.

Ok what kind of total fucking morons go nuts like this over an emote?!?! If you can't deal with a small emote without acting like a total dumbass then here is my suggestion: Save yourself a few dollars a month and press delete. One less fucking idiot in here the better.

In case anyone is wondering , the roles of Ciaran and Chasym are played by Noob Ass 1 and Noob Ass 2, respectively. Both from the TheAtmaWeapons linkshell which from their present showing does not bode too well for the ls but I do know a friend who used to be in that ls but he does not play as much and he is a nice guy as far as I know.

Also I planned on making this bit more mature but I had the opportunity to cool off a bit so now I am not so angry. :?
 
Lol, have to be pritty dumb to beleave someone thats shouts "<name> Is giving away <item> send them tell if you want, thay are quiting game".

If someone did that to me, I'd send tells to each person "Hell no, your pritty dumb to beleave everything thats someone shouts in jeuno"

or "I'm sarry, you got the wrong guy, but who is this guy whos giving stuff away? I want to know!"
 
it's not just a peice of text, it's something you are doing to intentionaly annoy/provoke/etc... someone else. Some people don't like being slapped unless they know why.

Though yeah that was pretty bad what they did afterwards.
 
I'd have to agree. If a friend, or at least someone I knew, were to /slap me, the most I'd do is /cry or /slap back, because it's generally done in fun. But a complete stranger coming up to me and /slapping me is the same as that person sending me a tell saying "Fuck you" unprovoked. I guarantee that they'll hear about it fom me, and odds are they'll end up on my blist by the end of the conversation.

So your friend had a problem with these people. That's fine. Maybe it should stay between them and your friend though, instead of you randomly slapping people just because you were told to do so? Just a thought.
 
I used to slap people a lot more randomly then I do now, but I'm still a person who does it to strangers a lot. People don't understand it's just an emote.

If you know the reason someone slaps you, then you ussually have nothing to complain about either. The Paladin who shows up in armor ten levels too low knows damn well why I slap him, and that's why he gest upset.

As for the shouting in jueno, I witnessed that. I was wondering what the heck the prank was.
 
I only slap Hyre, because my awesome Emnity-1 Merit isn't good enough to keep hate on him and not me :(

And Drewtaru... cause well, it's Drew. Why not?

I guess you have never been slapped by a stranger in a big crowd like in Jeuno. It could mean many things.

What would you think if some JP guy do "X looks at Anderithe disgustedly." in front of the AH in Jeuno?
 
i slap random ppl all the time; ppl that are AFK; vendors that price their wares too high, ppl with stupid names, ppl blocking walkways, BSTs, and specially ppl i know.

its just text. get over it.

and if someone got back at me like they did at Lavi, i would deserve it.
 
Some dude told me to watch my emotes after I emoted /huh to him....

Some people are idiots, some should be slapped. Lavi, let your friend fight his stupid ass wars and stay out of it. For all you know, Noob #1 is calling you Noob #2 right now for sticking up for your friend.

I had already stated there was a reason he deserved it but I also neqlected to mention that it was obvious he was an ass in the first place. Upon our arrival in the dunes he replaied "Haha, I already have you blacklisted" stated directly to my friend. I found this to be rude. Is it really necessary to say something like that if you have her blacklisted? It may seem kind of trivial but for someone to taunt you and you cannot get a word back is kind of weak. That is why I unhesitantly slapped him and if I was asked to again I would do so.

And no, normally I do not slap random people... except those idiots with stupid things in their bazaar for outrageous prices. That just bothers me.
 
Lavi slaps me all the time. I just respond with "A little to the left.." and all is good. :wink:

But heres what happened on my side of the story,
Cia was a new member of our LS, and i get a message saying
"these high levels are in valkurm threatening us and tryin to train mobs on us"

im like, what? why?

and they say something like, one of them hates me cause so and so stole so and so's girlfriend.

and im like, what the hell...its a freaking game.

so cia asks "chasym, can you start a tell war on one of them please?"

so i shout in jeuno once and head to valkurm to make sure lady and cia done get MPK'd,

I dont know about anyone else, but when 2 of my LS members ask for help, im gonna help em.

Hell everyone who was on our LS at the time headed to valkurm.

Needless to say, I went to GM jail that night for "harassment", and they put a block watch on your accounts for "harrasment" too, and watched over you the rest of the night.

But thats my side of the story, I was just helpin out my LS mates.

been to jail and all now. Great night of gaming.

Yeh, good times, good times... I told you those tell wars was gonna piss somebody off one time, didn't I??? :P
 
now that i've heard both sides, its ridiculously funny to me. what chasym did was funny, tho a bit extreme. but the whole gm jail thing was funny as hell too.

um, just a thought. stop slapping strangers. personally, it doesnt bug me a damn bit, but you never know who you're gonna piss off. better leave that to someone else.
